Re: 18 Poison Adrena jdm worth it?
I got mine today from Japan Angler - 2 piece medium model. Ordered it on Monday night, got it Friday noon. I'm very impressed with shipping and the packaging was hardcore, in some plastic pvc tube. I was going fishing when it arrived so I've used it for about 6 hours, throwing weightless plastics an...

Megabass Orchi XXX F2.1
I'm going to have to replace my BFS Zodias pretty soon (damaged guide) and I was looking at the Megabass Orochi xXx F2.1/2-67K-2P - yes it's a 2 piece model. On paper it looks great, in use, I have no idea.
Anyone with this rod? What do you guys think?
Thanks

Re: 18 Poison Adrena jdm worth it?
Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll end up getting the Medium plus JDM Metanium. Still...the new aldebaran and medium light adrena is quite appealing. I have the Aldebaran BFS and I guess I've been spoiled with the weigh, thou the Met would only be 1.5 oz more. Tough choice and wish I could try th...

Re: 18 Poison Adrena jdm worth it?
Strange timing. I literally just recieved mine in the mail today from JPangler. I got the 2 piece 6'10 medium. Worthy upgrade from the Zodias - every day of the week. I also have / had 1st gens. I like this one better and I haven't even fished it yet. It's lighter and I feel confident saying it wil...

Re: 18 Poison Adrena jdm worth it?
I think it's pretty spot on power wise, in contrast to most JDM rods. If I had to guess, I'd say it's somewhere between 375 and 400 grams of power. Its spot on when compared to shimano rods, but i wouldn't say that megabass rods of the same power are as stiff, at least not the ones i've used or cur...

I'll probably end up getting 2 piece medium power.
Now I need to figure out what reel to pair it with

18 Poison Adrena jdm worth it?
Your thoughts? Worth it? I'm looking at their two piece medium light and medium casting rods. I have a two piece BFS zodias and was wondering if adrena is a worthy upgrade. Any other suggestions for two piece casting rods in that power rating? Here in Canada we pretty much have nothing that's two pi...

Re: Finish issues on newer Shimano baitcasters
I got a rather nasty chip next to the tension knob on my Aldebaran BFS after few months of ownership. No idea how that happened. The reel's always in its neoprene sleeve and I never handled it rough. Disappointing, since my chronarch seen more abuse plus it's rarely in in a sleeve. It's in much bett...

Re: Single barbless hook - front or back?
I've put them all at the back, next up are spinners and spoons. what a pain in the a$$ handling those super small rings and crazy sharp hooks....and I stabbed myself a few times. I'm going to test the baits today in a tank and see if they need any extra weight up front. I gotta say, those #8 ...

Re: Single barbless hook - front or back?
Here is a good video to reference: https://youtu.be/IHTylVwn95E It's covers different hooks and sizes for UL hardbaits. Also covers putting them on. Also, check out finesse-fishing.com for your single hooks. Great prices and SHARP hooks. Yes I know it all:) Got my replacement hooks from finesse fis...

Single barbless hook - front or back?
I'm about to replace the hooks on my small hardbaits, spoons and spinners with barbless - trout river regulations.
Would you go with a single hook on the front or back of your hardbaits, and we're talking small, ranging from 2 to 6 garms, #8 and #6 hooks.
Thanks

Re: Looking for a low cost ML casting rod
I do a lot of creek fishing and mainly use my Kuying Teton L casting rod. However, i am finding sometimes i wish i had a bit more backbone. I am looking for a rod that is one step up from this in stiffness, while still being cheap. On Aliexpress i thee they show a Abu Vengeance 2 piece ML casting r...
