I have 10 Zillions and not one problem. The Type R drag is incredible. No issues at all.

Re: Who makes small 3" or under frogs?
A great little bait that I love to use for small bait situations is the ZMan UltraMouse. It say's it is 5 3/4" long but that is the length to the end of the tail. The body length is about 2.5". The Elastic baits float really well and they last a really long time. This bait actually walks really well...

Re: Big Bite Fightin Frog
I hope they are better then the ones I bought. After flippin with them the craws were coming off. I even emailed Big Bite asking if it was an issue and they never responded. I wouldn't buy the bait again. It's a shame cuz they do look good.
Glad your having luck with them.

I'm with godshippy... Everything. I have two 5:1 for cranking and everything else is 7.1 or 7.3.
There really is no limitation to what they can do.

I'm with Doc. I love the Type R. I have 4 of them and looking to get a couple more. I have fished the JDM version as well and can't see paying the difference for the JDM version.

Re: Cumulus MH Feels More like M??
I personally was very dissapointed when I saw the Cumulus line of rods. All the hype was just that. I wouldn't waste my money on a Cumulus rod knowing how well the Cumara's were made. The Cumara's are a better better rod at a much better price.

Re: warmouth vs fake fish
The problem i have with Big Bite Bait is they don't hold up. I ordered some of the Rojas flipping frogs and the baits pretty much feel apart trying to get them through tules and trees. The bait would come back missing the claws. I emailed them asking if it was and issue and never got a response. So ...

Re: Rapala & V.M.C. signs IACONELLI
Ike, Ish and Peter T and a few other guys signed with Youvella when they first came out. Unfortunately that didn't last long. Youvella I believe went belly up. As for VMC they are probably the biggest OEM hook company. Most people aren't aware of how much they distribute to other contries. Especiall...

Re: Zillion Type R or Calais 200ASV ?
Both great reels. That being said I have 3 Zillion Type R's and absolutely love them. Smooth as can be with great drags.
After reading the TT review you know it will work with big baits and small baits.
If you can test them both out I would suggest that.

Re: Weedless Chatterbaits
I have not had any problems with the ZMan baits. The quality is there and a the skirt issue is an easy fix with a replacment skirt just like a spinnerbait. I always have extra skirts handy. I also have the Stanely swim jigs but I have a lot of problems getting the blade to vibrate. I have had to twe...

Re: Super Light Flipping Setup
I have two set ups that are 8' Steez flippin stick with 7:1 Steez reels. Hard to find a lighter better combo.
I fish these setups in heavy cover as well and don't have any problems.
