Re: Daiwa silver wolf
I think Cal is doing a review on this reel. He does a variety of finesse and big bait fishing to really test the casting...and line capacity

Re: Conquest BFS 2023
The Conquest BFS casts very similar to the 22 Aldebaran BFS. Retrieve is smoother and feels solid overall.
Is it worth the upgrade from the 17??? We will see

Re: PX68R uses
I don't have one anymore but, It is a pretty versatile finesse reel. Does anything from finesse soft plastics up to small squarebills.
The PX68 does have a better drag than the original Pixy so, no need to upgrade that.

Re: Conquest BFS 2023
I hope whoever reviews the Conquest BFS first has the regular 100/200 2021 Conquest too. I just wonder how much different they will be. The aluminum gears from my Aldebaran are alright. Felt a bit off the first weeks of use, but seem to be breaking in well. The new Conquest shares those gears, and ...

Re: Daiwa Steez AGS Casting Rod 7'11" Extra Hvy
Digging up and old thread. How would you guys rate the power of this rod to some "finesse" punch rods out there like the older Compile X, Kister Helium 3 M.A.D (or M.O.D)...rods like that. Looking for a rod to punch lighter areas like lilypads mixed with milfoil, pitching behind thick cattails and a...

Re: Conquest BFS 2023
I'm excited for it. A fast gear ratio small round reel with a capable spool will be amazing. My 22 Aldebaran BFS is pretty smooth so, I can only imagine the Conquest will be smoother.

Re: You can only take one ….
I may have to go beaver/craw style. Micro ones for finesse bites and the "normal" ones for Texas Rig, punching and such.

Re: Shimano Aldebaran BFS XG Limited ci4
Looking for my first BFS reel for ned rigging pretty good sized largemouth bass. Would this reel be recommended for that? I would also agree to go with the newer model. I will say though that the Aldebaran (probably the older one mentioned too) is more capable of much lighter lures than mentioned. ...

I haven't seen much on this rod in a while but, I remember people using it for general finesse bass fishing. Small plastics, neds and such.

Re: Shimano Aldebaran BFS XG Limited ci4
I'd go with the current model. Handles wind much better and casts great.
