In need of 2 schematics: PX68L and US Trail LH
Does anyone have electronic copies of the schematics for these two reels? If so, I would really appreciate it if you either posted them here or PM'd me. Thanks in advance!

Re: Auction site gems
I hope that's exactly how it turns out! It actually came about because I saw his auction for the US Trail (with a starting bid of $75) ended without any bids. I contacted him asking if he was going to relist it. When he told me he was, but with another reel, I was kind of disappointed because I wasn...

Re: Auction site gems
Whether these are gems, only time will tell. The price was right to find out though http://www.ebay.com/itm/141603739193?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
I figure even if I have to put a few $$$ into each on to make them serviceable then I'm still ahead.

Attempting to further smooth drag in spinning reels
I have a few Shimano Symetre's and while the drag is pretty nice on them (especially comparing them to my old reels) I was wondering what I could do to make them smoother than they are. They are completely stock right now, I haven't done anything to them yet. I'm not necessarily looking to up the dr...

Re: Differences between PX Type R and PX68
Hey, that's some good news. I ordered a bearing for the level wind, but I was starting to wonder about the small spacer that I'm going to need. Does that come with the kit from Gary? I'll keep the TDZ upgrade in mind, I picked up a US Trail last month but I don't think I'll be using light braid on i...

Re: Auction site gems
No right or wrong here, just a matter of opinion. And there's really no need to call a guy selfish if he feels that since he and only (for examples sake) 20 other people know how to dig up hard to find listings and score a great deal, having done the leg work to figure that out, rather than have it ...

I was/am going to be doing just that. It doesn't matter which label is put on the blank, what's important is that the power, action and length are what you need. I will definitely be going custom when the time comes.

Re: Differences between PX Type R and PX68
Last question: does the PX68 come with the high speed line guide gearing? If not, is the Tackle Trap the place to ask about that? Thanks (again!)!

Re: Differences between PX Type R and PX68
Ah, ok. Is it just the drag star that clicks or the cast control knob as well?

Differences between PX Type R and PX68
Aside from the two extra bearings in the knobs, and the knobs being cork on the Type R, are there any other technical or performance differences between the two reels? Thanks in advance!

Re: PX68L maintenance question
I'm going to start the search for screws to replace those, but I'm going to try and find some Torx head screws instead. I'll keep you posted.

Re: PX68L maintenance question
A soldering gun strategically placed should soften the loctite enough for you to remove it. Wiha (a German company) makes a precision screwdriver that fits very snugly in those screws. It's the only one I have found that won't damage the screw head AND gives you enough leverage to break the loctite...
