Re: Zoom jr and RI dipper jr weightless

You would need a weighted hook for this. The weight on the hook shank acts like a keel to stabilize the bait.

Re: Question about titanium-tipped drop shot rod

Is it similar to the Daiwa ceilo rod with titanium tip? http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwacielorod.html One of my favorite drop shot rod, should be good for other deep water fishing technique. Tip is not good for hard casting, very hard to gauge. Good for pitching, soft casting, lobbing. Phenomen...

Re: Double Senko Rig?

Probably Gary's idea to make up for the fallen yen. What, one senko per fish is not enough, they have to destroy 2 senko per fish? What's next, Alabama-senko rig, half a bag in one cast.

Re: "Borrowed" ideas

Reels with main selling point of 12, 13, 14 bearings.
rods with IM9, IM10, IM11 rating in big bold letter.
super strong line that's thicker than some towing cable.

All smoke and mirrors my friend. You should see some claims on ice fishing gears.

Re: Which Antares is more all around?

The low gear version is the best all around. With the larger 36mm spool. It makes the reel feel like other 6:1 ratio reels. A bit taxing for deep cranking. Did I mention this reel could bomb? I mean really loooong range.

Re: They are all dead! My home Lake is ruined.

What about grass carp being introduced into the lake.........My home lake has them and they are definitely a bad or good thing. They will eliminate the algae....Maybe? Grass carp eat weeds, vegetation, not algae. Without a healthy supply of weeds to suck up the abundant supply of fertilizer from wa...

Re: 2013Metanium vs Exsence DC

Exsence DC is a fun reel(VERY). But it's gear ratio and the DC design limits the reel to a certain application that it excels at. Frog, traps, swim jig, chatter bait, etc, long casting, low resistances lures. Metanium on the other hand is more versatile. If you are only going with one, pick the meta...

Re: Setting the hook on light line

"gammy finesse wide gap" this is one of the worst hook design in the market. The hook eyes are too close on a level with the hook point. You'll not get a straight penetration with these, the hook point actually roll/back away when you pull. Put the hook point on a piece of card board and pull on the...

Re: When did we all agree to buy the same reel from a differ

I am willing to bet that the Idea or the intellectual right on a reel cost more than the hardware itself. I don't think any company are willing to give out their idea without a compensation for it. If you really want to simplify this, it's just supply and demand. We like new shinny stuff, they make ...
