Omen Black Travel Casting Rod
@13 Fishing Team: I am very interested in the Omen Black Travel Casting Rod. But would it be possible to get the information how many the nacked blank weights and which diameter the buttend and tipp has? This information would help me to get an impression of the power and lureweight in comparison to...

Re: Major Craft BFS rods
In my opinion the VKC692XUL/BFS is a L-Power-Rod with a x-fast taper.
It is a nice rod for small jigs and rigs, but for me too stiff for hardbaits.

Re: Differences between the various Revenge spinnerbaits
The frame and blades of the deeprunner-version seems to be a little bit smaller as the blades of the normal version.
https://revengebaits.com/info/deepvsreg/
But is the blade-size of the 3/8 and 1/2-version identically?

Differences between the various Revenge spinnerbaits
Who can explain to me the differences of the various Revenge spinnerbaits? How does the normal DW-leaf spinnerbait differ from the deeprunner version? Is the only difference the skirt (30 vs 40 strangs)? And is the blade-size of the 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4oz-version differently - and how big are the DW-bla...

Re: Best EU lure shop
Two shops with a really good assortment of softbaits are:

But if I would live in the USA, I would prefer TWH.

The new Revo ALC IB and ALC BF, the Revo LTZ and many JDM Gen3-Revos like the Elite IBs, the Elite 7/8, BigShooter Compact, Black 9, the Elite Aurora, the 2501C- and my Revo MGX :D. From the Daiwas additionally: the Morethan PE SV and the Ryoga 1016. And some new JDM-Shimanos have also the feature -...

Re: Favorite rod action for UL
Which do you prefer, X-fast, fast, or moderate and why? Does it gave an ul-rod with a x-fast taper anyway - or have the most real ul-rods always a moderate or slow taper? Nevertheless I would prefer a moderate taper for a good loading with the light weights compared with a high modulus (restoring f...

Re: Any opinions on the Major Craft Corzza?
The Corzzas are devided in the middle (between the both first guides). And they are a little bit underrated. The 662M feels like a typic MH, the UL BFS like a L and the L BFS like a ML. In my opinion the 662M is a nice rod for spinnerbaits and swimbaits, the UL is a nice hardbait-rod and the L a all...

Re: Shimano Brenious reel spool.
Anyone know if there is a aftermarket spool that will fit this reel? The Avail BRN1417r and BRan1448R would be two possibilities: http://avail.jp/products/ms_brn1448r.html Or another model shimano that interchanges? I'm not sure, but if you would change the wormgear, any spool that fits to the Alde...

Re: All you folks who reel lefty...
I slide my hand from casting to bait working position. I usually cast with the hand more behind the reel then slip the hand upwards to palm. With the TD-Z pitching reels I never move my hand. Me too - and almost all germans are using lefthand reels. Only left-hander are using righthand reels. This ...

Re: Revo ALT
Thanks for the info everyone. Another question: the Revo ALT seems to have been somewhat marketed as a finesse reel. For those who own one, is this true? Could I toss size 6 Shad Raps or DT4s with it? (FWIW I can throw a Shad Rap 6 with my Curado 50 -- not special I know but we all know even some p...
Re: Revo ALT
The Revo ALT is the saltwaterresistant version of the Revo MGX. The performance is the same, but there are some differences in the material of the frame (aluminium instead of Mg-alloy), the handle (Alu instead of carbon) and (in this case I'm not sure) the gear is made of brass instead of aluminium....
