Re: Daiwa and T-Wings ...
To Each His Own. Daiwa seems like they have made there bed. Don't like it, don't buy new Daiwa. Like it, buy 'em. Agreed. That's why I will more than likely still buy one here and there. However I don't plan on selling off all my OGs either. What's your thought on T wing and do you think the design...

Re: Daiwa and T-Wings ...
Will that one incident stop me from buying future TWS reels ? Probably not.
I made this post more so just to get everyone's outlook on TWS since it has basically has taken over the entire mid on up line.
Wonder what moving forward will bring ...

Re: Daiwa and T-Wings ...
Don't really see why it would be a problem on hook sets. If the line's jumped out of the groove the angle of pull would be directly to the spool, like on a conventional reel. Having the line in a level wind gives the chance for it being and angle that could theoretically be a weak point. I have yet...

Re: Daiwa SV103 versus Shimano Chronarch MGL
It's interesting how opinions differ depending on where you fish. I simply don't beat the bank very often. We have miles and miles of grass flats in both fresh and saltwater environments and long casts are what you need to cover lots of water. I understand and agree the SV can handle skipping dutie...

Re: Daiwa and T-Wings ...
What's your issue with the T wing? No real issues. I've had up to 7 reels at once with T wing. It did however shake up the reel profile dept. Maybe I'm just too spoilt to the warm feel of the OG zillion, alpha, and Steez platforms. I'm not denying the benefit of T wing especially with larger diamet...

Daiwa and T-Wings ...
Just curious to everyone's thoughts on if they think Daiwa will offer any new releases in the $200 and above range without a T-Wing within say the next 4-5 years ? Excluding limited edition releases like they did with the racing stripe Z. I'm speaking more main stream USDM. After all the hype how co...

Re: Daiwa SV103 versus Shimano Chronarch MGL
.... Just for fun Im going to dust off the SS SV tommorrow and put it head to head against the Chronarch MGL throwing jerkbaits. I know your making a funny ... but from what I gather in all fairness the SS SV is the most restrictive sv system there is. Unless the Tatula sv proves otherwise. Accordi...

Re: Daiwa SV103 versus Shimano Chronarch MGL
For the record ... not just a Shimano guy. I don't own a mgl. However the way I see it is the way I may use a certain reel It may not impress me. But in the hands of another using it for a different application or style of fishing it may shine for them. I guess what I'm saying is we all have differe...

Thanks for the suggestion !Bootytrain wrote:
Well despite the haters misinformation, people love the Curado I as you can see. I would just get a Scorpion 200 from Japan if you can't find one. Also check non typical retailers, like walmart. They do price match

ICAST Not what I wanted to hear ... :? So ... liquidation started 5 1/2 months before the July 11 ICAST show ? I started this post on Feb. 24 and at least the week before I had seen a place or 2 with them on sale already. That's a long time to be out of stock for some retailers wouldn't you think ?...

Re: Curado "i" ... is this the end ?
BUMP Ok here's the deal... Curado I's are still drying up at retailers. I tried calling 2 places for my son to pick up (2) 7 gear models at close out prices and they were out. Both claimed they were not getting anymore 7 gear stock. One place did say to me to just wait roughly 2 weeks and recheck th...
