Perhaps he was throwing panfish stuff. The 701/Pixy made that my first thought...if he was inland. 8-)

Almost a month to go. ~X(

Re: Loomis QC continued....

[quote="Mattman This is something I've always wanted to do. If I'm not mistaken, aren't the NFC blanks significantly slower than the NRX sticks? That varies model by model. Additionally, depending on what you're looking for, the action can be sped up. I wind up buying a number of 6'6" blanks and ext...

Re: Loomis QC continued....

for the amount of money your shelling out, i'd go nfc and had it custom made to your specs, this is the only way to achive the best tools for your kind of fishing, not that nrx is bad, it's good but I just can't justify the hassle and the disappoinment if you got a lemon after paying that much mone...

Re: opinions on daiwa steez STZ601MFBA

I do not own the 6'3" stick, but I do own the 6' model; it's paired with a Chronarch 51Mg. I use this combo for Pointer 78 DD's, small poppers, and small spinnerbaits. I am very happy with this stick, and it handles the above baits quite well. If using a 5/8oz crank, I would definitely bump-up to a ...

Re: Showing off my new K2's - now with a fishing report

Rods look great and I appreciate the honest review and fishing report. thanks. you're welcome. the 715 reminds me a LOT of my old 844 glx ---- especially when fishing jigs. Would you say it's about as fast as the 844? Also, are the K2's in general as fast as the MBR line? Thanks. no. not as fast. i...

Re: after now owning an arsenal of Daiwa reels...

I like the aesthetics of the original Daiwa Works natural cork knobs when matched up with rods that feature cork grips. It isn't about performance or weight as the smooth black knobs feel/perform just the same for me, and I like how they feel much more than the grooved rubber knobs on many Zillions...

In my hands, the 7'1" Cumulus is definitely more sensitive than the DX703.

Re: New glx line coming soon??!!

You will not have the Xpeditor service if the rod model has been discontinued. The rod is still covered by the lifetime warranty. It's like you're speaking a foreign language here Bantam. It reads like English to me :-k I understand what Bantam is saying. It's just a shame that a few rods wil...

My Sol just came in the mail today \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ yes it fits, however at min drag position the straight drag star spokes will just touch the back of the smoke handle. Quantum just upped the price to $40 from $30 FYI the length is 88 or 89 mm depending on who's measuring, and by my hand it's notice...

Re: New glx line coming soon??!!

Why do we need to say we are doing away with the service? Going forward we have moved to Wild Card on the new rod models. Same program with better service. No charge and replacement through the dealer. I realize this is not great for everyone, but for most of the customers this is a great service. ...
