What kind of money is cerakoting reels going for these days? Like basic 1-2 colors?
I was quoted $400 here in Australia for a straight satin black on my Calais DC.

Interested to hear what it goes for in the US.

I identify as a bolt, but realise I'm a shaft.

Bought a crusty old Chronarch D7 for bugger all. Good guts and frame / side plates etc. Cleaned up well but realised that the access side panel (to the spool) it's shaft that it swings away on was corroded due to dissimilar reaction between it being aluminium and a stainless steel pin that acts on a...

Re: A Masterpiece - Shimano's Metanium MGL 150B Baitcaster

Imagine how amazing it would be with the ported spool and the line guide as far forward as it could have been. DaveJ If it's got a thiner spool and it has a shaped line guide which it has - shouldn't be too much of an issue for the line to peel off / swing side to side easily enough. The guide coul...

I've actually bought some stock felt and am going to test felt washers in my BFS baitcasters...

Bought it in hi-vis pink and orange. May become trendy.

Re: Lightning Strikes! Fishing tops the list

Both fishing and golf it seems.

Waveing a metal / carbon stick around in a way that's conducting ground spike discharge is only asking for a zap.

There's a point where should pack up and go home with a storm. Sport can wait.

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?

So perplexed... Spin for saltwater primarily, some spin reels for fresh also, but not as common. But I do love to use baitcasters solely for freshwater situations, technically superior to spin for that accuracy and fish-ability. Spin has its place especially if its windy. But nope both get a good ro...
