Re: Best aftermarket BFS spool?
i've had both an avail and a yumeya mg and much preferred the yumeya in my curado 51e. i ended up selling the avail and keeping the yumeya mg and love that spool.

Re: Jig trailer with floating "claws"?
100% agree on that, they're probably my favorite trailer and also make for a killer shakyhead bait!Bassmar wrote:Damiki Air Craws work pretty well.

Re: Frog Storage
i have mine stored in a flambeau rust proof box and haven't had any issues with them yet. i usually squeeze all the water out that i can and allow them to dry out at room temp before i store them in the box too.

Re: What line to match Yumeya MG 32mm.
on my yumeya bfs mg spool i have a small amount of 6 or 8 lb izorline xxx backing and then spooled up with 15lb power pro mostly because i prefer the smaller diameter of the braid and allows for more line capacity. i'm mostly throwing 1/8-1/4 oz size lures with that reel. and i love that spool, real...

Re: Buzzbait Setup
Tatula 6'10"MHF with a Lew's Pro Z 7.1:1 is my current setup. I seem to alternate between 30# braid and 12/15# mono.

Re: What's the number one selling rod?
http://www.wideopenspaces.com/top-five-american-fishing-brands/ In the United States during 2012, no business sold more fishing rods than the Shakespeare Company, a South Carolina-based subsidiary of the New York consumer products company Jarden. There’s a reason: the Shakespeare Company makes supe...

Re: Rods/reels on a yak
i like to keep mine in the deck area in front of me. this lets me keep a close eye on them and also keeps from getting them scratched and wrapped up in the trees.

Re: Fish Finder
i have DI on my lowrance unit, but don't find it to be overly useful. i'm no expert with the FF, but i find myself using the sonar the overwhelming majority of the time.
