Re: Drag Click Resource? / Daiwa and Shimano
Not that I have found but I have at least a dozen kits installed in reels that I have purchased from a great seller in Russia.

Re: Daiwa 20 HRF TW PE Special
Took it out again with same setup and measured my casts- Averaged 121' with mag on 8 with no problems- backing it down to 6 led to heavy fluffing throughout the cast and it did not end well. I bought the reel for throwing 2/5-2/3 oz spoons for steelhead but just had to see what it would do with ligh...

Re: Daiwa 20 HRF TW PE Special
Yes 1/4 oz is the max on the leadership.
Im sure it will be easier and much more efficient with thinner line. The Fireline Ultra 8 is extremely thick braid. I will spool it up tomorrow with smaller line and throw it on a better rod for further testing in the field!

Re: Daiwa 20 HRF TW PE Special
Reel arrived today- Spooled it up with 20# Fireline Ultra 8 and put it on a Kuying Leadership. Throwing 1/4 spoon 100' was quite easy and it feels smooth. Beautiful crimson red with black palm plate which looks goofy- wish they would have gone crimson on entire reel. Selling point for me was the lon...

Re: Bobber & Jig Tangles
I'm using a custom made NFC 901- 9' in length. Casting side arm is not an option as the lake is loaded with standing snags. I will give the 3 way swivel idea a try. I use the same technique for salmon when throwing eggs and never have a problem getting the eggs to lay out right at the end of the cas...

Re: Bobber & Jig Tangles
I don't cast with that much line between bobber and jig but in general it helps to stop the cast with your finger on the spool before the rig hits the water. This allows the jig to go past the bobber. Also a very smooth casting stroke is required. Yes this works well when casting bobber/eggs for th...

Bobber & Jig Tangles
I really enjoy fishing lake for trout using the bobber/jig method but to often the leader wraps around the mainline on the cast. I am using braid mainline with fluro leader anywhere from 4'- 9' in length. A pain to cast with a fixed bobber but deadly on trout down near the bottom of this shallow lak...

Shallow bfs spool for chronarch mgl?
Looking for shallow spool to turn the chronarch into a better caster for 1/8-1/4 oz spoons. Cannot locate a spool beside HH for $110- Any help?

Re: Screeching Zillion HD
Well I thought the drop of oil took care of it but I probably just could not hear it on the river- Tore the reel down today for a thorough cleaning and lube, put it back together and there's that screech again really only noticeable on a really "hard" cast. Reel was new this fall and probably put 25...

Screeching Zillion HD
Started screeching today when casting- did not notice any effect on distance- Salmon season about over anyhow so almost time to tear it down. Safe to use for another trip or 2?

Re: Protecting reels from scratches
Standing on a rock in the river with a 15#+ fish on then trying to wade back to shore to find some where to land it while digging out a reel cover attempting to maintain footing and not fall in sounds challenging but i will try!
