How did you do it? 1st inner hole for ULH and then shaping outer dimension for perfect? Looks very good!shfishinsticks wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 3:43 amI turned it myself. The acrylic is from Beartooth Woods.

Re: Which BFS reel?
Daiwa Steez/Alphas CT TW.
Original spool casts even 2g lures. You can also use that for thicker lines and heavier lures if need. Much more versatile than pure bfs reel.

Very easy to install, if you use those AT own winding checks. Fits mostly reelseats. These aren't light as CFX or Batson grips are, but very nice. Ps. Rear pict...

Re: Question about imperfections on x-ray blank
It's normal. Almost every x-ray blank has some of those cosmetic errors. Does not affect performance.

Sleeves yes, Covers not. I use only custom rods and most of them are w/o varnish (or coating on blank).

Re: Daiwa Alphas Air TW 2020
And this is how 2021 Pixy is borne. Never know. Even if its called an Alphas...A shallow SV version of the Alphas AIR can still be inthe Pixy family...kinda like that awkward in law I kinda want it to be made out of magnesium, not aluminium. The added color Pixy's are known for would be another plu...

Its's incredible how people is afraid to say the true composition of the material. I saw composite, polymer, fiber alloy (here on Brazil). It's just plastic, to reduce costs and increase profit. I fish under 33-38C temperatures, I would never trust a plastic worm gear even more so, with a metallic ...

Re: What rod handle material do you prefer?
There’s a special way they cure their grips they have yet to divulge to me. Been trying! If I can readily cure them so they have all the same properties and durability, I’ll dive in head first. Are you curing yours in any special way? That’s a pretty technical grip. Cool stuff. 😎 I put epoxy throug...
