skippyfish and cabelas saltwater eel in 5" for freshwater. I like a lot of action in the tail on the jerk and the kill.

Re: strong and reliable worm hook for light presentation
Owner twistlock light CPS is the way to go. They are strong, lightweight and have a great sharp point. I use light lines a lot of time and they are the best hooks for subtle presentation. I like Gama hooks but I find that often they are too heavy or beefy for my liking. For braid presentations, i us...

Re: Rapala clackin crank--Water leaking!!!!!!
my problems with rapala are few and far between and they have been more than fair in dealing with problems. I've purchased at least 25-30 Rapala lures or products over the past 2-3 years.
Re: Frogs
I think somebody mentioned this before- when have you ever seen KVD fish with a frog? Not that it makes it a good or bad lure. I guess I didn't answer your question...

Re: Preferred Shaky Head Worm? Is Floating Necessary?
that makes no sense. So you have to lose the salty flavor, that is purported to be an attractant, in order for the worm to float? Why not buy a salty worm that actually floats from the first cast. Check out the Squirrel Tail worm if you want a worm with a floating tail and taste from the first cast....

Re: Polarized Sun Glasses
I tried Oakley polarized with contact lenses and prescription polarized sunglasses and found the prescriptions worked better. If you wear eyeglasses, get polarized prescriptions and you'll love it. I put the lenses in Oakley frames and they work terrific. Stay on tight, cover my eyes and filter out ...

Re: Favorite Blade Bait
Binsky, binsky, binsky. We use them in NJ during the winter/early spring seasons and they slaughter. I have them in 1/4 oz and 1/2 oz. in silver and they flat out work. I've tried other blades and this one has the best flash to vibration in my opinion. Oh, and I catch LMB's and SMB's on both sizes.

Re: Rapala clackin crank--Water leaking!!!!!!
Rapala is awesome to deal with. I had an issue with one of their pliers and emailed them to inquire about options. I received an email back from them telling me that they had already mailed out a replacement for me. I also had an issue with a max rap and rusty hook, and they sent me three of them fo...

Re: Speed retrieve Fluke
I wouldn't worry too much about it flipping over. I just learned that the original jerkbait, the slug-go, was meant to be rigged upside down so that it looked like a fish that was belly up. If you're fishing it that fast, it's for the reaction.

Re: Preferred Shaky Head Worm? Is Floating Necessary?
I don't know if this was mentioned, but there are videos on Youtube of floating worms and if they actually float. In fact, there is one of a pack of zoom finesse worm were some of the worm's tails float and some don't- from the same pack.

Re: Jerkbait knots
fish n fool knot for me tied to oval split ring or direct to lure. I don't like the round split rings, and if a lure has one, I will bypass it and tie a rapala knot with minimal loop size.

Re: LC vs. Yo-zuri sashimi
I agree on the water displacement. To my eye, it just looks better in the water than the LC's. I know confidence is a lot of catching fish, but they are both relatively new lures for me, so I didn't have a preference when I started fishing them. YZ feels just as solidly built as the LC and I think t...

LC vs. Yo-zuri sashimi
So I fished a couple of lakes over the weekend with my LC 78 in american shad and chart shad and YZ Sashimi in Cham Gizzard. Mostly targeting Pickerel, Bass and the occasional northern pike. I caught a grand total of zero on the LC's and all of my fish on the YZ's. I have only caught one fish YTD on...
