Re: MY SHIMANO ANTARES DC JUST DELIVERED!!!
The surface is highly reflective. Now I have to say, "It ain't heavy, it's my Antares!". At first I was going to put it on the G-Ax for that metallic/black thing but I believe it's going to be spooled with 16lb test MachineGun Cast and mated with the Super Destroy III for heavy crankin', jerkbaits a...

Re: Factory Seconds?
Easy to tell if it's stolen goods, just look at the serial numbers of some of the more expensive reels. If they have been reported stolen then he's a fence. Seems pretty unlikeley though. i would bet that he has a conduit into the big boys and they have cut him a sweatheart deal. I did this all the...

Re: Is Yuki Working on an ITO Steez?
Mr. Ito is working on a millionaire based reel, like the one Jun had on his site when the show was going on. I saw it on a Japanese blog. I'm not considering it too attractive!

Re: Factory Seconds?
I was thinking about the yen value topic but I didn't even want to take that detour! Here's the problem with the US based distributors, they aren't getting any breaks from special deals from distributors, factories or currency value shifts. What we have now is competition, big time, that didn't exi...

Re: Factory Seconds?
I am with Top on this one, if the japaneese tackle etailers are getting 50% on premium high end tackle then I am going to blow a gasket. $250 on a $500 reel is just BS . I realize they have overhead, but for etailers it should be minimal . These are not fair profits for etailers. IMHO The funny thi...

Re: Factory Seconds?
Fact: For all but the smallest volume dealers, the list price on DOMESTIC Japanese reels represents a markup of about 50%. That does not include freight or any of the retailer's other overhead. e-Tailers have overhead too. I am pure capitalist and don't have a problem with a guy making a fair profi...

I recommend smoothies for the tdz. I have them on one of my ito 103m and they work great. Provides consistency and smooth starting.

I bought a pair of SOSpenders with the auto-inflate for this years season. Nothing is foolproof but wearing a PFD is a good start.

Re: Factory Seconds?
Okay, I guess this is my first post as an official representative of Brooklyn Bill's Tackle Shop. 1. I accepted Bill's offer because I know him to be a person of integrity. I think I have a good reputation for providing accurate information or directing a question to someone who may know more. That ...
