Re: Why is DRT so damn expensive?
Perhaps if I spend another $60 on lips... but something in my stomach calls me a sucker for dropping $160 on a single bait chasing the DRT hype dragon. I had planned to fish it and sell it if I didn't like it. Little did I know it would be so beat up after 20 casts. Anyway you look at it, that is pr...

Re: Why is DRT so damn expensive?
Got a Tiny Klash Hi-Float and I am less than impressed. It has near Zero action without the lip. With the lip, the action is very plain Jane. It doesn't do any of the things the images on the box show. Not to mention the hook rash after 10 minutes was extreme.

In all honesty, other than schematic, why would you need the manual?

Re: new daiwa rod in the works??
It is certainly a prototype. The model information is taped to the rear grip. No decal on blank.
I was lucky enough to hold the Rebellion prototypes.and they just had paper labels taped to them in a similar fashion.
Perhaps a new Zillion to go with the reel.

Re: Kistler rod clearance
They spent years cultivating a brand based on quality USA made NFC blanks and TX labor. Most people I know that bought Kistler did so for NFC and a fully USA made product. They dropped the two best selling points of their product and raised prices...it doesn't take a genius to see where that was goi...

Re: Daiwa Kage
I had the 7-foot 3in medium-heavy all around Rod. I absolutely loved the blank. However, like one of the other reviews it was desperately in need of one or more guides. Additionally, the build Aesthetics were very plain and I felt lacking at the price point. More so than anything was the simple plas...

Re: Tatula limited release date?
This is a joke. $300 for a non free floating Daiwa?
I hope someone with $300 to spend has more sense than that.
You can get a JDM Zillion cheaper or the US with brass for a $50 more.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Not to throw this off topic, but I just sent a Tatula 300 back that had 4 or more paint bubbles and or imperfections. I got a discount from Japan Tackle on my Morethan 1000xh because it had a large paint chip right near the mag dail. I'm so scared of scratching this new Zillion. I keep a reel cover ...

Re: Daiwa Catalina TW 100 Spool
THIS!!!
I am so mad I sold my Catalina. I've been trying to find a swimbait reel lately and there are no real free floating spool reels.
I got the TAT300 and it is simply way too big and heavy. Even for throwing 8" baits it seems like overkill. I really wish they had a 250 in the 9.5oz range.

Everyone worrying about their guide material.
How often do you clean them is the real question. Most people never even wipe them down.

Re: Wacky Rig Fly Line Thin Senko Hook
I like the Decoy hooks for wacky rig. The have some very wide gaps if needed and good geometry and point to hook eye angles. I haven't tried this one but it could be the ticket. Only question is wire size (finesse/HD?) if using #6. Worth a look. IMG_20210519_497.jpg I'm also a big Hyabusa fan and th...

If you must have a snap. The best I tried is the Decoy W. If think you can see why I like it.

Re: Looking for a quality snap.
I also find other baits to throw with them. For instance, I no longer buy spinnerbaits over three quarters of an ounce that don't have a twisted line tie. This allows me to use the clips and run a quick pike leader if needed. IMG_20210505_8888.jpg I will say, on some popper, it can chip the paint bu...
