Re: A list of great spool swaps
Steez A Magforce-Z spool in a Daiwa SS/SV: -this was my lighter cranking reel for a while. For some reason the SS/SV has an odd braking profile that works with SV spools but doesn't particularly gain great distance. With a Zillion SVTW spool it seems to border fair distance, controlled casting then...

Re: A list of great spool swaps
I also really liked the zillion svtw 1016 spool in my steez A (when I had one). Anyone know if it should have the same performance in a Morethan? I recently picked up a Morethan but haven’t fished it yet. Have you had time on the PE spool? What do you think about it? I just got my morethan today so...

Re: Daiwa Steez (New HLC) impressions
OG spools from photo: HLC 100HL PE Special IP68 All fit both Steez TW HLC and OG Zillions https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1TU0RWnz6KYPq8tDO2xaNNQQges84VYcW https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1T_ztt8BHiO7pjbR_9ys-QGYUVAobi1Rt I'd also be very interested in your impression of the Steez A HLC spool in the ...

Re: Daiwa Steez (New HLC) impressions
In other word: Is it fair to assume that if I switched the spool in the Steez A HLC to the regular spool of the Steez A, that I basically becomes a regular Steez A? Steez A HLC is 36 mm, basic Steez A is 34 mm. You need spacers to 34 mm spool to fit to it. But these reels shares same spool as Steed...

Steez HLC spool in the OG Zillion
Has anyone used the steez A HLC spool in the OG Zillion platform?
Did you like it or prefer one of the old 36mm spools?
Thanks

Re: Steez finesse game special
Sorry I haven’t got back to you as I’ve been a little busy. I replied to your question on bass boat central but I figured I would post it here in case it might help anyone else: It’s hard to say if it’s a ml+ or a full on medium because ml and m rods are so different in power between manufacturers....

Re: Steez finesse game special
Yeah I picked one up a little while ago and had it out a couple times. It definitely leans more towards a medium than a medium light in my opinion. If you’ve ever fished an Expride 7’ M it has similar power to that. It is very light and sensitive. I prefer the old foam grips on the previous version...

Re: Steez finesse game special
There is another thread on this subject somewhere but yes it is. All ML and 7-6ML/M steez rods are great for it. I think the new compile model has a little more power than the previous black/blue model in ML. I had another thread asking about the new 7'6" steez so maybe it was that one? I found a f...

Steez finesse game special
Has anyone spent time with the finesse game spinning rod?
How do you like it and is it a good drop shot rod?
Thanks

Re: Steez AGS 76mml old vs new
Pretty big difference in my hands but I sold them both. The old was heavier and slightly more parabolic and the blank did not recover as quickly as the new one. Can't go wrong with the old one but the new one is dare I say, better in every way. I never had an issue keeping fish pinned with trebles ...

Re: Steez AGS 76mml old vs new
Great review. Thanks for posting the video. I saw in one of the comments that you bought two of the new rods but sold one and kept the old steez as well. Do you like the old steez better for certain techniques? Thank you Just one - spybaiting - and it's close to a wash. But more than anything it's ...

Re: Steez AGS 76mml old vs new
Those of you that have owned both, did you keep both or sell one? Would you say the new version is a lot more sensitive or are they pretty close? Is the newer version a good all around rod or is the old version a better all around rod with the slower taper? Thank you I just uploaded a review/compar...
