If I’m correct the TD Advantage is the same platform as the alpha.
Sorry but you are not correct. Different platforms. Different spool widths and diameters.
The gears might be interchangeable as some other parts but I'm not sure which.

Anyone have the new rod that’s spiral wrapped?
It would be nice to have a model # to know about which one are we talking.
I believe DEPS has at least 5 or 6 rods with spiral guides.
I myself have 3 in my rod rack that use whenever adequate.

Re: What is Daiwa doing?

It all started here.... Product Insight : Zillion TWS a.k.a. Tatula Z? It's nothing new. Abu Garcia, 13 Fishing, to some extent Lew's (more in the past than currently), share components of their reels throughout their lineups making incremental upgrades as you move up the line. It's just that Daiwa...

On Magforce Z and V the activation is not purely centrifugal. I did see a video a while back of a guy that had put Daiwa spools onto dremel and it took ungodly speeds to get the inductor to extend.
It is purely centrifugal.

Re: Magforce-Z induction activation revolutions?

Do anybody know what's Magforce-Z's inductor activation revolutions? Only information I could found was this: By weakening spring by cutting it, inductor movement is happening around 7000 rpm's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7duihHaBpI But do aybody know what's standard Magforce-Z spool revoluti...

Re: Baitcaster Casting Video

Thanks,

These videos are really useful for the guys like me that use BFS to trout fishing in small streams.
I spent a lot of time looking and learning and I still do.

Re: Tatula SV TW103 inital thoughts

Just one drop of a good quality in the casting bearing and pinions. Try grease the pinion using a insulsin syringe, if you arent confortable over opeoning it. While I have not lubed it, I'm fairly certain that oil/grease are not going to make this reel buttery smooth. Once again, it isn't bad and I...

Re: Tatula SV TW103 inital thoughts

Maybe it would be better for you to clarify what exactly do you mean by geary. Can you feel the teeth meshing like actually felling each teeth? Or is it just a white noise sound? Do you feel the reel vibrating when reeling? It's normal that the reel has a more connected hard feeling to it. The toler...

Re: Show off your bigbait setups!!!

I tossed the balam 300 which is 6oz on the huge custom and it'll toss it but it wasn't as comfortable tossing on my friends drt/tulala andre. The andre rod made tossing the balam feel like I was tossing a 2oz bait. The Huge Custom has a taper that is very particular. I like it and found it to be ve...

It just goes to show everyone is going to be different when you have the rod in your hands. This is why I always say it’s good to get people’s opinions but if you really wanna know what a rod is going to fish like you have to try it for yourself. Indeed. Another thing I notice is the effect of line...

Re: OG Steez Brake dial loose

Have an OG 100 with a brake dial that has practically no tension and moves on its own. What could the issue be? Easy fix? I guess you are talking about the magnet braking dial. The most difficult part is to access the screw under the bearing to separate the set plate from the side plate and a C ret...

Re: Show off your bigbait setups!!!

I'm using the 76rf. Thinking about getting another rod though. Something that would be better at tossing 8oz baits and higher. The 76RF is my favourite. Both of the H3S can go up to 10oz. but at some point becomes a risky game. I do have the Strong Mind that can cast up to 2Kg (70oz.). I have caste...

Re: Olympic Vigore

Still seems too good to be true given the cost of components factored in, Ti/TZ are extremely expensive guides plus obviously the nano T1100G blanks. Certainly look legit on paper tho! Be great to see some real world TT feedback come in on these once they’re in more hands. 71H casting and 742 spinn...
