Re: Casting Rods... What will you spend?
Of course there are a few instances were I've spent more than my comfort range...

Re: Casting Rods... What will you spend?
I'm most comfortable in the $150-$200 range... That being said almost every rod I own (MB XX and Black Jungle, Dobyns CB Glass) has a MSRP over $250, I just tend to buy them used or on sale or find a retailer willing to work on multiple rod purchases.

Re: Which is your favorite rod company?
Currently using MB XX and Black Jungle Rods.... and have some Dobyns CB Glass Rods after selling off my Powell Max CB Glass rods... Definitely regret selling the Powell Max 754 CB Glass as those were great all around rods for chatterbait, spinnerbaits, squarebill and mid to deep cranking.

Re: Rod for rat-l-traps
I'd highly recommend a composite if not glass rod for the application mentioned. Traps are notorious for losing fish on. You need all the help you can to land them, particularly if you are burning the trap to get bit. The two best rods I've ever used (and I've tried quite a few) for traps (open wate...

How soft a tip do the 7'2" Zodias MH and Heavy rods have? What applications would you recommend them for?

Re: MB Racing Condition v XX Diablo
I'm referring to the newer MB Racing Condition.... Unfortunately I think they are all 2 piece rods, something I definitely don't want.

MB Racing Condition v XX Diablo
Really like the looks of the MB Racing Condition. How does the 702 MH and 732H compare with XX Diablo for moving baits? Also, does the Racing Condition has traditional sized guides vs. the macro xx guides?

Omen Green 7'2" MH Questions
I'm looking for a good 7'+ rod for 3/8-3/4 spinnerbaits & chatterbaits, 3/8-1/2 buzzbaits and 1/4 - 1/2 swimjigs. Is the action moderate enough for these baits? Does this rod throw 3/8+ baits well?

Abu Revo LT v Shimano Scorpion XT
Looking hard at both of these reels ... Any experience with these reels, particularly side by side would be excellent. Application would be for 8-14lb mono or fluoro, jerkbaits (Pointer 78-100, Ima Flits 100-120s, Duo Realis 100), Topwater poppers (Iovino Splash Its, Yellow Magics), and small cranks...

Re: What would you like to have on a Fishing Rod?
Here is my list of wants... 1) Guides somewhere between normal size and micro/macro size... Can you imagine trying to fish the Hartwell Classic with micro/macro guides. 2) Probably the one thing I've wanted for years... a simple, discrete, robust and effective balancing system (I think Cabelas or Ba...

Megabass XX Rod Choice Help
I'm trying to determine what MB XX rod(s) would be the best for the following applications: Spinnerbaits 3/8-3/4 (Mostly 3/8-1/2) Buzzbaits & Chatterbaits 3/8-1/2 Swim jigs 1/4 - 3/8 Flukes & Senkos Super Spooks & Super Spook Jrs. T-Rigs (3/16 - 1/4) I prefer a rod at least 7' with 7'3" being the sw...

Should also mention I don't want to spend more than $300 per rod.

Pitching/Paddletail/Frog Rod (Replacing Powell 765 Max)
I have (4) Powell Max 765s that I currently use for pitching/froggin/paddletail swimbaits/carolina rigging. I'm looking at replacing them with more sensitive and more balanced rods as I find the 765s to be quite tip heavy and not as sensitive as I would like for fishing with fluoro. I'd prefer rods ...

Re: 13 Fishing Rod (Balance w/E Series Curado)
Thanks for everyones feedback. Next TW sale I'm going to pull the trigger on at least one Envy. I'm thinking either a 7'3" or 7'6" pitching rod (3/8-3/4 jigs)
