Re: Something Old, but Something New

..... ....... ....... When I say underrated I mean in the casting weight, ie. a 3/4oz rod casting up to 1 1/2oz without a problem. As you rightly say, it is agreed to be one of the best all rounders. .... That makes more sense for sure. Now, where do I start my search for the next One . Dobyns Cham...

Re: Something Old, but Something New

Wild looking reel. Like a lot of us I've been searching for "The One" go to rod...... I think I have finally hit gold ...The rod in question is.........a Loomis MBR 783C GL2, 6'6" rated 1/4 - 3/4oz. IMO highly under rated as it works all the required baits with ease...... I don't think anyone would ...

I think I can help....

Your Caps Lock is under the Tab key, above the Shift key and left of the A key. Hope that relieves some of the pressure.

Re: reel suggestion

thanks for suggestions i'll look in to these reels.....regarding question,by 1/8 i meant total weight (mostly weightless senkos, texas or wacky rigged) Any reel can cast a weightless Senko a mile, Especially in the $300 range. Senkos are super dense/low profile baits with next to no drag. A 3/8oz S...

Re: reel suggestion

I like a 6:1 Gear ratio in my all around reels. That being said, you cant go wrong with a Daiwa Zillion TDZLN100 which can be found for under $250 on eBay or a Shimano Core 101MG which you can find sub $300. If you prefer a faster 7:1 I would go with the Shimano Chronarch D7 or again the Zillion. I ...

Re: BPS KVD reel

Why buy a lower end(reworked) Quantum, weighing in at 8.3oz for $100
When you can find one of the most underrated reels ever(IMHO) that weighs 7.4oz and can be found for the same price......The Curado 100D!

Re: dobyns champion, cumara, or zillion?

I've never owned a Cumara so I can't speak on that.
Given the choice between the Dobyns Champion and the Zillion I would go with the Dobyns Hands down. Like beezy said 6'8"mh is a little short for jigging IMHO but it will make a very good soft plastic rod.

Re: Flats Boat

I can't remember off had what Ranger boat he has but I'm pretty sure he had the top of one of their Bass models Fiberglassed.

I was looking around and found Big O Boats, they have some different looking boats like this one.
The Twister is also kind of amazing.
