Re: Trika Rods

I sent mine back because I didn’t like the way the handle on the spinning felt. The cut outs on the handle just didn’t feel right. It was very uncomfortable. The guides on the 73H casting seemed rough when I was pulling on the line to do a bend test. It would kink my line and make the section that ...

Re: New Steez A II vs High End Shimano’s

Imho, if anyone says either one is superior to the other, then they are splitting hairs. There is plenty to like about either brand and it comes down to personal preference. I'm a Daiwa guy, because I like consistent control. This comes at the price of a slightly lessened distance, which Im ok with...

Re: I just bought me a new 3.0:1 cranking reel.

I bought the rod on eBay for around $80 shipped from Japan and fortunately for me, the seller pays return shipping because I'm returning it because all of the guides are crooked. https://i.postimg.cc/Hn9F2T4v/AB8-BD421-7-ACA-4-F06-A175-51-E8129-AA026.jpg It's not crooked. It's spiral wrapped

Re: Bottom Contact Rod!

I fish mainly G-Loomis/Shimano rods. I need a rod for swing heads for catching smallmouth. I fish in deep water and fast rivers. Head weights range from 1/2- 1oz, but 3/4 is my comfort zone on 17-20lb fluorocarbon. Water depth ranges from 10-50 feet. What rod would you recommend? I would prefer tha...

Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?

P5 FMJ fit and finish is a 10/10 as expected but: 1. Stiffer tip than anticipated 2. More tip heavy than anticipated Ice fishing now so no on-the-water review from me anytime soon. Curado 70 mgl xg on the rod https://i.imgur.com/vCxiirs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ZZhGvzo.jpg gotcha. thx a lot for the ...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis

Went to the fishery and spot where I used to fish my Kistler 7'3" LMH a ton before (the X-ray blank version with the same ratings as the Epitome blank). I'm sold on this rod. It's not an upgrade in sensitivity, but it's not a downgrade, either (and it's lighter). Did some finesse ballhead jigging a...
