Re: Line Conditioners

Given that fluorocarbon lines are chemically inert and impervious to just about everything, I would want some scientific proof to believe line conditioners have much of any effect on them. Of course, a bit of silicone applied to the outside of a line will make it more slippery until it washes off, b...

That's the Wright & McGill Rick Clunn Signature glass stick (2012)! I hope RC held out for a huge amount of money to let them put his name to that "thing"!

Line visibility? What about those steel wires on the umbrella/alabama rigs?

Probably even less than 1mm, but definitely a teeny weeny bit of play in both Citicas I own (one of the first to come out and one I got when the G came out). Never noticed it until I actually tried to move it to reply to your question. Put your paranoia back in the bag.

Re: Do Orange Seals Need To Be Flushed?

Hot sauce oil is a nice overall oil Bocas lightning oil has been working great for the past few months TGs rocket fuel is slick but thinner I assume you're talking about the Tournament Rocket Fuel, Nitroman? MarkG ran some viscosity tests a few years back and the Yellow Rocket Fuel was significantl...

Re: Anyone else using braid exclusively?

Add me to the list. Been fishing braid only on all my setups for more than 10 years. The only time I'll add a leader is when going after pike and it's a steel leader! If fish can figure out that visible line = danger, their "smartness" must be very selective. Think about it: hooks are way more visib...

Re: Hedgehog Studio spool removal tool

But it's important that I let all of you know, that the tool can't be used for Conquest 50s/51s. You can try it if you want, but you are not going to get a replacement for your bent Conquest 50s/51s spool from Seito. Not sure about the regular Conquest 50/51 though. Didn't try it on one. But I don'...

Re: T-3 review summary

Is it plastic?! I thought it was carbon zaion? The reel feels like any other MG reel.. ;) Weight deference is in gearing, handle etc.. Being made overseas and since the us dollar sucks the echange rates are making more and more reels $$$ There's just no escaping the "plastic" label, Nitro. As soon ...

Re: New 2012 Shimano Rods

2 piece casting rods simply did not sell well when we did offer some. The market for 2 piece casting rods is very small. Most people prefer a one piece casting rod. Thank for replying, Bantam. That's what I was afraid of. Of course, now it's become a self-fulfilling prophecy, hasn't it? ](*,)

Re: New 2012 Shimano Rods

The old compre 2 pcs rods are pretty good. Of course, you're right, but I was thinking of more than a single (6'6" medium) rod. As a matter of fact, Shimano seems to have dropped that particular rod from their latest lineup. Specifically, I'm looking for some 7' sticks at this point in time but it ...

Many thanks, Springcreeks!
