Re: Bad tackle thread (what to avoid)
I have 3 Bearking ito shiners. Pretty darn good if you ask me. The slashing action on a jerk is not as intense as it is on the real thing, but it gets bit pretty well and i cast them where i wouldn't cast a $30 lure into.

Re: Which Reel, PX68 Finesse Spool
Alphas SV/SV105 would be the cheapest route since it will already have the butter smooth gears. A minty used Zonda or Lauda would be top picks for me. Have you used it an Alphas SV? I'm not sure how it will play in different reels with different magnet strengths. No. Are there differences between t...

Re: Which Reel, PX68 Finesse Spool
I'd just use it in a pixy. Its what i've been using for years, and its in my top 3 fav spools i've tried.

Got that carbon handle from ali. A bit sharp around the ages so i've sanded it with 1000grit. Now its an awesome handle. If i didn't already have a bunch of rcs and studio composite handles, i'd probably upgrade all my handles for these.

Re: Daiwa service department
I’m wondering if anyone has experience with getting reels serviced by Daiwa’s service department. What was your experience like and how was the turn around time? I have gotten my reels serviced by the tackle trap and had a great experience. However I get too worried about shipping all my high end r...

Re: Opinions Only Fully Subjective Input, Dobyns Champ line vs Megabass Levante
The Levante is a noob trap. Poor balance, poor sensitivity, expensive for what they are, but look nice to attract customers. They have good actions though. Only really worth it for a tip down rod like the jerkbait, crankbait and chatterbait sticks. Throw a Curado MGL on there and you are good to go...

Re: Daiwa's new reel??
Cheap aliexpress carbon fiber handles ruined me. I see carbon fiber handles as cheap now and have a good appreciation for a quality alloy handle. I actually like that polished handle on the shinny Steez Limited shallow. After paying $13 for these I can never see a Daiwa carbon handle the same again...

Re: Daiwa's new reel??
Don't need the new Steez shallow limited, but I'm definitely going to need that spool. If I'm reading correctly,, it should hold roughly 65-70 meters of 8lb test. Can't have too many 34mm spools Evidently, Daiwa doesn't believe in carbon handles any longer. These limited Steez reels should have one...
