Re: I'm perplexed

Vladimir...I don't think you were saying so...but I hope I didn't come across as saying I have found no performance upgrade...I was simply trying to state that even if there was not...the use of all spools you own could be used which is a good thing. As of today, I've thrown another reel in the mix....

Re: Cruxis Survey Program

I could give it a run 4-5 days of each week on the Potomac for LMB if you still need one more.

Re: I'm perplexed

@ Vladimir.....It sounds as if you too have run through all these modifications and I'm also not surprised that as you indicated, braid is not much of an issue because it tends to lay flat and does not have the natuaral tendency to want to straighten itself out. I use eight pound test line (mono/flo...

Re: I'm perplexed

Scott, very nice! I need another pixy but don't have the funds. However, a new pixy spool, I can afford and I can put in my Alphas. I am eagerly looking forward to your findings. Mike Mike...I'll offer you the same thing as the other guys....if you would like a set I'll hook you up...I just need yo...

Re: I'm perplexed

@ Shorebound...I won't sell you a pair but I'd be glad to make you up a set if you provide me the dimensions of your reel...I would only need the diameter of your reels bores...needs to be accurate. If you would like to send me your reel I'll make and install the rings for you / no charge... Scot, ...

Re: P-Line Evolution

Well I just went through the whole Floro Shootout and while I realize the F-Clear is not pure Floro....my above descriptions are confirmed from the shootout regarding the deformation results :| ...pretty much spot on what I described save the stretch deformation. Seems to me if the manufacturers cou...

Re: P-Line Evolution

I tried the CXX at one point but the truth is that it was 20# for my surf rig and it was so coily it drove me nuts. Comments here about it being "not as supple" as the Floroclear has kept me shy of trying it in the lower test weights. The Yo-Zuri might as well be branded "Slinky"....I'll bet i...

Re: P-Line Evolution

I didn't like it either. I use P-Line Floroclear which is great up to 10# The 15# is great for Stripers etc wheras the 20# was like cable to me. I've been using 12# on one of my Bass rigs and don't like it. What do you guys like in a 12# line...I WILL NOT use braid or Yo-Zuri and prefer a Floro or B...

Oh....the parts will be perfect, you can bet on that 8-) However I can fully understand your position....I'm just glad to know you boys aren't so uptight that you won't even install my hardware for me....I seem to be a little hit or miss for some reason when it comes to assembling/dis-assembling my ...

No G.O. the quote "lack of intelligence" wasn't directed at you or anybody in particular. It was a joke with a sense of humility that most of us here have.....I can't speak for everybody of course but certainly, I try not to take myself or life to seriously 'cos I probably would have offed myself by...

My "Beater Stick" http://planetsmilies.net/tongue-smiley-8870.gif Here's two shots 5b. The Pixy is on the "new" Loomis and the Sol is on the Weibe seat...if you eyeball the support ribs on the inside bottom of the reels you can see the difference in height. In the second pic. the Weibe is on top. ht...

New Rod/Update

Some of you may have read in a post or two that I picked up a new beater stick MBR784C GLX from Reeds Sporting Goods. You also may have noted that they sent me a rod which had a "dog leg", (as you guys coined it), and the eyes were horribly aligned. Called them up and they immediately said they woul...
