Re: Best baitcaster under $170 for beginner
Just get the Tatula 103sv tw. It's got so much trickle down tech it really is awesome. I know guys that have full JDM arsenals and they are using this real for heavy duty grunt work. It will also be smoother longer, repairable, and has aftermarket support.

Re: NFC NEO (Zentron + Carbon) Swimbait Blank
I sent this blank back as it was incredibly heavy. Mine weighed in at 5.5oz. Sweet blank but I was trying to build something light.

Re: What is more enthusiast to you: MH or H sticks?
I really wanted the P5 Tequila Baccarat. I was lucky to test it in person. However, I did not find the shaved trigger on the reel seat comfortable. I have a Daiwa Air Edge Travel 694SB rated 1-4oz that is pretty cool and weights 136g. It has zero tip though. I would like to try a JDM frog rod in the...

Re: 2 zillions, 3 spool options. Help me pick
The TDZ spool will only fit in the new Zillion SV TW1000. The Type-R spool is extremely fast. Not sure how the magnets would make it perform in the TW1000. It can be a great pitching spool and distance caster with aerodynamic baits. I'd go boost with flouro for versatility and Type-R for bombing a f...

Re: Megabass 110 LBO - Stuck Weights
They are the standard 110 and not the max. They were all ordered from Japan. I can't say they haven't warped. However, I have several other brands and standard 110s in the same box that are perfectly fine. Also, they don't appear warped. You can seen the LBO weight and ball bearings. They don't appe...

Re: Megabass 110 LBO - Stuck Weights
The LBO is a completely different weight system than the traditional Vision 110. Also, they are JDM baits not sold here by Megabass USA. I'm thinkinging I'd have to mail them to Japan Lure Shop. So frustrating as they all sit tail down now and look like crap. I have at least 8 of them and they were ...

Megabass 110 LBO - Stuck Weights
I have several Vision 110 LBO versions purchased from Japan. They are stored in a Lurelock box. All of them no longer work properly. The weights will go to the rear but not return under normal conditions. I can shake them and they move but they used to move as soon as they tilted past horizontal. I'...

Doesn't look like I'd be able to get me pointer finger on the blank the way I hold.

Re: What is more enthusiast to you: MH or H sticks?
My JDM enthusiasm started with the BFS craze. For that reason, I feel the lighter powered sticks are more enthusiast to me. Also because there are many longer Heavy powered sticks in the states but the shorter more versatile rods seem to be more JDM.

Re: The end all beat all Shimano DC system
I have to agree. Especially watching my buddy backlash the DC on a regular basis. He did run straight flouro so perhaps braid is the ticket.

Re: The end all beat all Shimano DC system
I think you need to consider why you truly want a DC. - For backlash prevention: it is lipstick on a pig and you will better off in the long run learning a standard braking system. - Night fishing: an advantage when you can not see the bait land. - Distance: if casting aerodynamic baits, perhaps X m...

Re: Zillion TW HD ‘22
Cool reel...BUT what makes it HD?
A spool change to me does not qualify. Nothing is beefed up other than the handle.
Happy to have choices but this is more of an HLC than HD.

Re: Short Frog Rod (for the kayak)
Love my high end stuff. That said, the Daiwa AirdX 7' Heavy sees a lot of action for big topwater and even frog duty. I'm surprised how often I set it up over a more expensive rod. The Fuego has me interested. Light tip, good power, and overall weight are really all I look for in a frog rod. If it i...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW
The only "special" attribute of the gears is the 8.6 are made of their Bronze/Brass mixture. This material usually is used in high end salt water reels.
