Re: Tatula 103 SV - 2017

I got a Tatula SV and I am a little bit confused about the strong breaking profile, because it doesn't spin very good. On step zero, one and two of the magdial the spool spins very good (and the SV seems not to engage), but with a higher step of the magdial (at least at step 6) the SV engage very ea...

Re: Quietest Braid

The Sufix 832 is a a nice line, but isn't really silent. The quietest line I have used comes from a german producer is called Stroft GTP S. The line is really silky and smooth as (or smother than) a monofilament, but also very soft.

Re: Zero adjuster

For me each Mechanical Brake Knob is a Zero Adjuster, because I adjust it only once after the spool is placed and don't touch it again.

Re: Chatterbait trailer selection

I use low-action trailers on chatterbaits like the 3" Easy Shiner on the Jackall Dera Break and the 5" Scented Paddlerz on the Z-Man Diezel Chatterbait.

Re: Differences between the various Revenge spinnerbaits

Yes, they are more compact. The only disadvantage is that you cannot use the same trailer on the deeprunner as on the normal version, because of the lead behind the skirt.

Re: Which one and why?

For a UL- or L-rod the Aldebaran BFS. For a MH-rod the Metanium MGL. For a ML- or M-rod I would prefer many other reels, also for heavier rods.

Re: Vintage BFS

I would try to get a Ambassadeur 2500C or 2600C. These reels a really small and there are many possibilities to upgrade them. A 4600C is much to bulky and exactly as high like the 5500 or 6500C.

Re: preferred run guide sizes for medium casting rods

Meanwhile I prefer a guides size of 5 on L-rods and 4,5 on Ul-rods. On ML-, M- and MH-rods I choose running guides with a size of 5,5. If I would build up a heavier rod, I would take a guide size of 6. Personally I hate to tie smaller guides than 5 - it pushs my blood pressure up to the limit....

Re: Abu mgx

The MGX is much better to palm as the Gen3-Revos like the Revo IBs, because of the smaller gearbox. Also the performance is a little bit better than the performance of the Gen3-IVCB-models like the Gen3 Premier and Elite 7/8. But with the Deez-Kit or Avail-spool for the Elite 7/8 the performance is ...

Re: Help: Power Rating on MajorCraft (travel) Rods L vs. UL

In my opinion the Volkeys feels more crispy. In this case I would compare the Volkeys with the Veloce Neos on one level - and the Corzzas with the Bosco Nuovos.

Re: Abu mgx

In my opinion the really good performance starts above 1/4oz. You can optimize the performance for baits with a lureweight round about 3/16oz with the Avail RV352R-IV spool. But because of the high line-capacity it won't never be a really good finesse reel for baits with less than 3/16oz. I think th...

Re: Help: Power Rating on MajorCraft (travel) Rods L vs. UL

In My opinion the Corzza UL/BFS is more like a typical L-rod and the L/BFS more like a typical ML-rod. And for me the Corzzas are very good hardbait-rods, but not sensitiv enough for a really good bottom-contact-rod. For smaller jigs and rigs I would prefer one of the Volkeys.

Re: Tabula CT SV TWS

In my opinion the Tatula SV wouldn't be a 100% replacement of the normal Tatula, because of the non-aluminium gearsideplate and the smaller line-capacity.

But nevertheless I am very excited about the Tatula SV. I think it would be a really good choice for a M-power-rod.
