Re: *Suggestions for "enthusiast" finesse/drop shot rod in 2
Cool video and nice rig. Here at home I fish the St-Lawrence river and usually am dragging heavier weights on bottom in deep current but during the the majority of the season I'm up at an island lodge on a lake. I guess I need 2 setups.

I wonder when they would be in. I leave to a remote island lodge for the season first week of May.

I heard it mentioned a couple times but don't know anything about them or where you'd even get them from. lolBootytrain wrote:Have you heard of the gamakatsu luxxe oltre? I beleive they have a titanium tip. They definitely qualify as enthusiast rods

*Suggestions for "enthusiast" finesse/drop shot rod in 2016*
I'd like to hear from the aficionados and get opinions/suggestions and preferences on finesse/drop shot rods, either available now or upcoming in 2016. I'm aiming for an*enthusiast* level finesse drop shot rod in 2016 or fall at end of season. I have 7 Shimano Zodias right now. This rod is gonna be ...

Re: Using a jig as a drop shot weight?
Need to try it on sand and gravel but would not where I can get snagged. I couldnt handle losing jigs, drop shot hooks and drop shot bait at one time. Plus the time to re rig afterwards...

Re: Finesse plastics with casting gear. Viable? Tips?
Yeah its all the rage now... really expensive for quality stuff and 100$ spools and bearings etc..adam lancia wrote:Do a search for BFS (Bait Finesse Style), but lock away your credit card first
In all seriousness, look for a used Pixy or Aldebaran or Curado 50E and find a ML fast rod.

They used to send me a new rod when I slammed the tip in my car door... Now they find any reason to not honor it. Rod companies ar...

Re: Ultralight cranks
picked this up today. Sebile. I like top end baits but the Rapala scatter cranks at 5/16 have been amazing for me. They aren't a tiny profile but they are very light. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e48/mothercanuck/2671a48d-6268-44c5-abcb-e8ab5fb23b20.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e48/mot...
