The Ci4+ is more like the above reel.

You might be able to file down a paper clip and use that but that tool above is invaluable if you are a Shi...

Re: Shimano Stradic ci4+ handle play????

I just got one from Tackle Warehouse a couple weeks ago with the same problem. It seems like the drive gear is not shimmed properly and needs another shim. The reel is smooth but not a solid quiet reel like it should be. Unfortunately, the rotor needs to come off before you can take the side plate ...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

Ok, I was able to somewhat reproduce the 94 meters cast. It was 325 feet or 99 meters to be exact but I had the 5-10 mph NE wind behind me. Using a 20.7 gram spoon, 15 lb Fireline Tracer Braid which is pretty close to Japanese 1.5 PE line, short 20lb leader, 7ft6 Daiwa MH flipping stick, and Zillion...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

Today I did another cast test, with a longer (7feet 8inch) rod and YGK 1.5# braid line, the cast distance is 97.4meters. http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/bG0gpUq0k0M/ I noticed the backlash , so distance without control is pointless He's only letting the spool over run at the end to eke out anoth...

Re: new Tatula CT

Sharp looking reel. So it's basically a Zillion SV TWS without the SV spool and a few less bearings and clicking CCC?

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

aquaholik I never seen people using that lure for jacks... Are they heavy enough for use it in surf, white water? I seen some guys been using weights 2Oz and above for shore fishing with live bait rig. They told me you have to use that weight because of the current. I'm going on vacation to Florida ...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

So are you casting the 3.25 gram lures with or without the little attached flies? Those little lures would be killer for Spanish Mackerel and Pompano but not sure I want to risk it at $6 or $7 each. We use the jig that looks like a banana but we also attach a small flies to it to catch Pompano from ...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

I owned an antares DC (JDM model of calacis DC) before. The casting distance is good in the standard of 10 years before. But for now, it can not match zillion SV or even steez SV (I always use braided line when do long cast). This, I actually agree with you. I was not that impressed with it 10 year...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

Finally a calm day. After several practice cast into the lake, I was happy at the mag dial at 2.5. Lure is 1/2 lead jig, line 12 lbs Nanofil, reel Alpha Ito, rod 7ft ML All star(didn't have a heavier or longer rod on hand). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/aquaholik/20160217_080759_zpsiwu0x4h9...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

Count the steps...... Also threw a 3 gram jig 46 meters with a Steez with a DIY spool in another video. :-k Not sure this is possible. Even with 2lb test Nanofil on a 4000 size Stella and ML 7ft 6 rod, I doubt anyone can cast 1/10 ounce jig 40 yds. I'll try it with 10 lbs Kanzen and 1/8 oz jig head...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

I did a quick test of the hyper long cast capability of this reel. 7feet 70H evergreen rod, 0.235mm braid line with 0.33mm leader. 21 grams IMA style metal jig. The cast distance is over 90meters without much difficulty (best around 94meters). Thats a very impressive distance, im definitely going t...

Re: 2016 Zillion SV TWS

Yeah, I don't think you are going to see phenomenal increase in distance compare to other SV reels. The spools are so light and capable of spinning so fast that we have to slow it down so adding a TWS in to the equation doesn't really make it a farther casting reel. It's nice and warm down here in F...
