Re: Ultegra 5500 C Clip Question
Try a little grease on the two prongs of the C clip, dry metal on metal makes for hard work.

Re: My epitome is cursed
You can treat the Mg with a particular Chromic acid (is cancer causing so be careful), and there's something I remember about flouride that creates a surface coating. But the process has to be quick as Mg corrodes in the exposed area with air alone and the process goes on. I aggressively scrubbed th...

Re: Preventing Spool Corrosion on Stella Reels
You can treat the line as it goes onto the spool, it'll continue to protect the spool.
You'd just have to wash out the spool every so often and retreat.

Re: Any Experience With This Gomexus Carbon Handle?
They're not as grippy as they make them out to believe. I bought a handle with them (clear) and oil got inbetween the plastic inner form and the outer clear handle and looks like it's got this black blob inside. They wouldn't even entertain the fact of returning it or refund on that basis even with ...

Re: Preventing Spool Corrosion on Stella Reels
Some of my saltwater reels especially the higher LB test lines I soak the line with a salt destroying solution like SX50. This far ok.
Otherwise you could try coating the surfaces with a Ceramic polymer paint treatment.

Get some glue and rebuild it - Plexus MA310 has a working capacity to 3000psi and has good elongation to manage stressors. Used some yesterday to glue my old ladies glasses when she took a good fall and snapped the arm clean off the frame, it glued within 10 minutes and took a good flex test multipl...

Mann's Bait Company 'Stretch' from 5 to 30 - excellent casting and trolling lure over here for decades while they were imported.
I've amassed a fair few as a collection, as they're discontinued and not many are left anywhere as NOS.

Re: Zillion/Alphas SV TW Raspy after Saltwater Season
CRBB has a miniscule amount of surface coating on the bearing race that wears out within the first few uses - the metal is then exposed - stick to routine maintenance than gymic technology. And don't forget that most bearings especially stainless are the bare minimum to maintain hardness and mainta...
