Sometimes it can be as simple as re-doing what you did to possibly create the problem. Carefully go thru the procedure you completed before the problem cropped up and look for the problem. You don't have to relube obviously but everything up to those points. If that doesn't help then follow the sch...

take the line guide apart and see if the line guide pawl is broken, or if something is lodged in it. You can also mess around with the spacers in it to see if that makes a difference. did you do a total tear down, or just wipe and lube? hmm, don't know how to do a total teardown...what I usually do...

i cleaned my reel and i keep hearing this loud noise coming from my worm gear. i tried putting shimano drag grease on there and still, the sound will not go away...it sounds like metal grinding in there and it drives me nuts...any advice would be appreciated

Chode - I don't think your going to find a fluoro that offers the same kinda taught line sensitivity as braid as it all stretches. A nice soft braid handles better than a fluoro IMO.
