Re: Gary Yamamoto Flappin Hog
all GYCB baits are like that but who ever stopped buying senko's after going through a pack or more a day. is quality dependant upon whether a bait stays together or if it catches fish. I choose the later. i really like the flappin hog just wish they would sell the tiny 3in ones in the states, caus...

Re: Reel lube, what brand and why?
I have been using Hot Sauce oil in my reels (combination of stock and Boca OS, slowly converting all to Boca), how does the stock Daiwa oil compare? I have oil from my Pixy, Alpha ito, Sol, Steez, Zillion, and have them just sitting in the original boxes, how would they compare? is there a differenc...

Re: Who makes a good co-poly?
Since trying Yo-Zuri Hybrid 2 years ago I havent had a reason to use any other line. The stuff is strong and sensative, on rigs I would usualy use FC line I use braid main line with YZH top shot. +1 all my setups are braid main line with YZH top shots. I normally start with at 10' leader and keep r...

Re: New Phenix Rods
has anyone tried / tested / compared a T46 blank (rod) against a NFC blank (rod) and then again against a NRX?
Re: Bass pro
I got excited, I was thinking maybe Basspro was having a sale, buy a CU50E and get a FREE carbonlite rod! LOL
Re: Bass pro
Depends on the kind of cover your fishing and whether you can cross over. I flip pads and some thick hydrilla and need a very heavy stick but pitching to weedlines or flipping into pockets near a weedline edge, I can get by with a MH 6'8" to 7 foot rod. Assuming your fishing is similar to my weedli...

Re: Compare Alphas Ito to Sol.
on a suitable rod, I can cast any of these heads with a small 4.8" worm with no issues whatsoever with either the Sol or Alpha ito. The ito just does it a little better. Both reels are spooled with 30# power pro with either 4# or 6# yo-zuri leaders. Works phenomenal! http://www.jackall-lures.com/ima...

Re: New Phenix Rods
the picture of the 1st rod looks like the current Ultra MBX which are currently available from retailers. your right, it "looks" like the Ultra MBX, but this rod is supposed to be built on the T46 blank, not the T40 that is used by the Ultra MBX. I have heard the T46 blanks are very nice, so I was ...
