Have any of you tried the bait at the bottom of a dropshot rig instead of just a weight? How is it workin? What bait did you put on the bottom and which bait are you catching with?

i do this occasionally. i use a jig of the appropriate weight as the dropshot weight. it's worked fairly well.

Tubes and Ikas as well! When I do this I make the dropper at least 24" and view it as a search-bait of sorts. If the Ika is getting the majority of the hits then I'll switch to just the Ika (or visa versa).

Tried it but it snags too much going through the weeds for me.

Try putting 3 worms or shad minnows in a row in stead of just 1.

Put then about 1 foot apart to start.

Shaky head. Yes, it works well. Speak no more of it.

Fishing for smallies a tube works and sometimes I liked to used a spidergrub on a jighead. They worked pretty well but it gets expensive losing jigheads and baits in the rocks.

Good luck.
