Grub Size
How do you decide what size grubs to use? I would like to order some, and in looking at some , it seems like 3.5 are small,4 seem ok,, but knowing the nature of Largemouth Bass, I can't see why I shouldnt throw 5" all the time... Your thoughts ?

Re: Grub Size
As fly fisherman say, "match the hatch". So, match the size of your grub to the size of the forage the bass are feeding on.
Re: Grub Size
5" kalins salt grubs have taken more quaility largmouth for me than i can Count. While i don't seriously chase greenies much anymore, when i did, i would always have them on the water with me. 4" have always worked better for me with smallmouth tho
Never hurts to match the hatch like mattman said

Re: Grub Size
The only 2 grubs I've used to specifically target largemouth have been 5" Kalin's Lunker Grubs and 4" BPS Squirmin' Grubs

Re: Grub Size
If I am just throwing a grub then I throw a 5" Kalin grub using either an 1/8 or 1/4 oz darthead. I use a medium light rod and wow what a fight.
Re: Grub Size
5" Kalin grubs here too- I also really like Cabela's fat 5" grubs as well.
Re: Grub Size
5" for me as well, either a yamamoto single tail grub or a kalin's (kalin's are infinitely more durable that the yamamoto)
