EWG Light Wire Hooks for Light T-Rigs

Post by goldrod » Mon Nov 21, 2022 12:20 pm

I am looking for an EWG light wire hook other than a Gammy and 2/0 is what I think I need size wise and I wanted to know what JDM hook you are using OR is there nothing better than what I already have?

For light Texas rigs, I use the Owner J Light hooks. I feel the wire is thinner than the standard Gamakatsu Offset EWG hooks. I use the 1/0 size for 3" baits like the Rage Baby Bug, but 2/0 would work just as well for size reference.

Owner makes a light wire EWG with a centering pin that I really like using for weightless flukes. It's a needlepoint too which I like better than a cutting point.

I’m using Ryugi and Decoy hooks and have been pretty happy with them bud.
