Football: Williams tests positive for marijuana

MIAMI (AP) - Former NFL rushing champion Ricky Williams tested positive again for marijuana last month, which will delay his return to the league until at least September, a person familiar with the case said Friday.

Yea, what a moron. This guy had so much potential, but apparently he can't separate party time and work time. Professional athlete or blue collar, if you can't keep the two separate it will catch up with you.

You think with all that money he could of bought something to help pass the test. I mean he could have went to the local porn store and bought a one of those drinks that cheat tests for like $40.

I wonder if all the Eagle fans that booed the pick of Mcnabb over Williams have finally stopped whining.

10K a month thats insane, I know i smoked it for around 20 years. Gave it up for my job it wasent a hard choice to make. At one point in your life you have to figure out whats really important he just hasent got there yet.

Yea it was some crazy huge number and he was bankrupt in a year or whatnot. This is before he owed the dolphins some cash for bailing on them. Sorry it was 60 mins.

I say let him play , and if he wants to smoke a joint after work , so what. The only reason its illegal is because the government cant regulate it. Alchohol is far worse for you, can enable many to act like a fool,and people die. A pothead might eat your food. You dont hear about violent rages from pot. Pro athletes are SUPPOSED to be role models. When you are in the public eye... athlete, politician, or celebrity... you are held to a higher standard or proper and LEGAL behavior.

To those of you that see no problem with it... Get a grip guys, it is ILLEGAL!!! If you give Ricky Williams a pass, then you would also give a school boy a toke or two. Should my granddaughter also be allowed to do a doobie? How 'bout YOUR kid?

Narcotics are illegal unless prescribed by a physician. Hallucinogens are illegal for obvious reasons. Marijauna is illegal...so don't do it! I like my beer, but if that were illegal, I would have to give that up too.

If the laws need to be changed, then change the LAW! In the meantime... OBEY it!
