**Kuaui part 2**
**Kuaui part 2**
Super excited to be exposed to some more multi-species action hopefully from shore, Jetties, Rivers pretty much wherever I can go this time around I'm going forgo a deep sea trip as it is pretty hefty price and last time I got goose egg had a lot more luck on the island but this time it'll be different time a year last time I went was around September I believe super psyched, this is what I'm taking with me I'll highlight some stuff in the Reel, line and Rod categories.
Shimano CalCon 51: Gary's old specimen, payload 10lb P-Line Floroclear. This one screams use me although I should keep her packed away That will be my all around treble hook presenter from shore and otherwise. I have had great luck with it shore fishing in regard to the line choice. Plus light rigging/plastics. Rod choice 4 piece MB XXX Black Elseil 2
Shimano Brenious: payload 15lb PP, all around smalls for shore and river especially. Paired with MB Hyuga 2 piece 6'4" L.
Shimano Scorpenstein: payload Vermillion red 40lb PP. Another all arounder with just a bit more power. Paired with a MB 2 piece 6'6" Salamadia.
Both Hyuga and Salamandia breakdown perfectly and both have inside this sweet 45" aluminum Sage case which is extra neat as I can carry it on with me on the plane. Of course 4pc XXX BE2 has it's own proprietary roll which is stowed with me on my pack just feel cooler toting it rather than packing it in a check on luggage. My tune for this trip relative to how I am trying to angle is nice and tight hopefully the fishing gods are with me, in either case another dope trip lined up with the family stay tuned for species updates forecast willing!

Way cool! Have fun! Sweet Diamondbacks cap.
Re: **Kuaui part 2**
So far haven't had too much time to angle mainly due to crushing it with the family doing other activities, and in general this time a year is way more windy on the east side of the island in Kapaa specifically, so shoring it is way tougher but we have been beach hopping like crazy chasingthe sun . Few random shots. Did get a chase from what look to be a decent size Trevally this morning by the jetty near our condo at the good ole Pono Kai , but bailed as soon as I saw it, it give my jig and grub on the Hyuga set up a quick chase.....Going on the Wailua river tomorrow with the family of course a couple rods in tow Apparently too cold for peacock bass bite as well so hopefully the river smallies and large mouth will bless us up near the fresh water inland more or hopefully hit on some Trevally which are generally everywhere Thanks as usual TT

Please keep us posted, great pictures and interesting read!
Re: **Kuaui part 2**
Okay so lots of excitement today but keeping three kids and a wife happy and entertaining is definitely not conducive to angling. Anyway in that regard the Wailua river kayak trip with the family was a bust but blessed in many other ways of course. So with a bit of frustration starting to set in I was able to hit my local jetty for a bit late this afternoon and tried to get my Aloha on! Finally the gods were pleased Thank you to Gary for dealing me this dope CalCon 51 specimen! She coupled with the XXX 4pc BE2 handled the Trevally very nicely! The Norman Deep little N got the commitment

Re: **Kuaui part 2**
Yes I have one on but decided to have that polarizing configuration for the photo opportunity..... Gary she is well taken care of and can't say enough about how neato that reel is I may have to keep her in a semi regular rotation
Re: **Kuaui part 2**
This was how the day was spent, Captain Andy's down south near Poi Pu is a dope way to go snorkel and get some sweet views of the Napali coast Saw spinner dolphins, whales breaching and what not. Very blessed trip with the family and sweet weather. Pretty spent after that one
