The comment about the rod being wrapped so tightly that is was difficult to get out is dead on. It took me quite a while to get mine out. It was almost frustrating, but how can you be upset about something like that.

Me too. Got my frist JDM rod, a Megabass, from Plat two weeks ago. Best packing that I've had from ANY supplier.

I just bought my first Megabass rod from them. It came packed VERY well. They wrapped the rod in bubble wrap. Then placed that in the Megabass velvet zippered sleeve, then wrapped that in bubble wrap, then placed all that in a PVC tube with each end having about two inches of bubble wrap, then covered each end with a very heavy duty tape. The tape seems similar to duct tape but stickier. Honestly it was hard to get the rod out, but it kept it very safe and arrived in perfect condition.
