I would be interested in how you would compare the Diablo with the Super Destroyer III in terms of action, application, and sensitivity.
The Super Destroyer III is an F6 stick while the Diablo is an F5, so right away the Diablo is a power lower than the SD III.

I haven't had a SD III for over a year now, maybe two, so I can't draw any direct comparisons other than to say the SD III is noticeably more stout than the Diablo.
Which would you prefer for vertical presentations only?

TackleTour Cal,

If you like the Bearing Down, you should try the BCR803 GLX. It is much more sensitive than the bearing down that i had. In fact, the GLX and my 7' MH Legend Elite are both more sensitive than any megabass ive fished.

Well I am sure it wasnt because of a lack of sensitivity. ;)

 :evil22:

F247: MB does make some sticks that are more sensitive then the closest comparable GLX model. Not many but they do and im not saying the Bearing Down is anymore or less sensitive then Loomises GLX series im just saying they're are more sensitive rods on the market then some of the GLX models out (and yeah MB to).

I bet it wasn't due to a lack of sensitivity. ;)

maybe, maybe not, but it was certainly lacking in many other areas for my taste... now, the BCR802.. that's a different story, and a different stick.

Also, the Bearing Down is about a half to full power stronger than the BCR803.

Interesting. The BCR803 is extra fast but the 804 and above are just fast.

Yup... I noticed that too playing around with Zander's BCR854 and comparing it to my BCR893. The 854 is rated with a fast tip and the 893 is rated with an Extra-Fast tip and in the end, they feel very very similar in power. Weird.
