lighter, stronger, faster...not a bad model in any business.

in my lifetime, a lotta companies got one or two of those things right but, not many have gotten all three right...they usually substitute "cheaper" for one of the three things they missed.

icast is gonna be good this year.

If they make it as good/better then the STX at 2 ounces lighter im buying one for sure!

I still wouldnt mind an STX but as far as reels go I got a Conquest 101DC or another Steez to buy next. I was thinking about the Met MG but I dont think that reel will perform as well as the Conquest DC or Steez.

Any word on price? I don't see any way they will be selling it for the same price as the existing version of the STX if it's 2 oz. lighter. I'm expecting the answer to my question to be in the $250 range at best.

I think I'd be willing to pay $200 to $250 for such a reel...
I'd get rid of my SX-HS and get one...

An STX in the 6-7 oz range sounds pretty sweet to say the least

I wonder if it will be a MG framed reel?

Also, I hope they make an STX with a 5.1 ratio for cranking.

I believe the person who posted that message is a Pure Fishing Sales/Marketing/product manager.

I remember he posted about the Revo when it first came out last year on BFHP.

If this is true, it's good news for Abu.
But 2oz is a lot. They'd either have to totally change the design or use lighter material like Mg.
If this rumor ends up being true, I would like to see a shootout with the Steez 100, Met Mg, and Revo light.

I heard from someone here (can't remember whom) that there was going to be a slower ratio Revo around June, the weight doesn't bother me, all these damn 6.xx and 7.xx reels do!

If it's NOT Mg I might end up buying one. I think it's to Abu Garcia's advantage to keep the price down rather than up it.
