My first JDM...

Post by Bassonly » Wed Sep 26, 2007 8:58 pm

Okay, I know. It may not some suped up mega-reel, but none the less it is my first JDM reel. Keep in mind, also, that I am 16, I am the only one in family who fishes, and I pay for all of my gear. I am still a little broke from buying my 20' Champion. :?

The Scorp 1000 is a super reel! Good choice, one of my favorites. Need to try some ABEC 7 bearings in there.

Congrats on your first JDM...and it is a very good reel.

BTW...I appreciate and truly admire that you @ 16yrs old are doing more with your own sweat and hard work than the majority of other American teens. Just goes to show that there is still some work ethic left in this Country and some hope for tomorrow. 8-)

Soon to be upgraded with ABEC 7 bearings, Bassart carbon handle, and perhaps a drag job by D.R.

Congrats on the Scorpion......you will love it. The Scorpion was my first JDM reel and still one of my favorites. Glad you could put some of your hard earned money toward something you really like. Just be careful, it can be addictive. :D

I love my scorpion MGs! My first JDM was also the regular scorpion and loved that reel till I got the much lighter MG ones. Congrats on being 16 and working hard for what you buy.

And speaking of the devil, have you oiled and grease that little jewel ? It´s been a year since it greased and oiled it.
