That looks real nice. Do you have any details on the differences between this version (v2)and the original? I have the first version and I see a different handle and silver colored star drag. It also seems to a little bit darker in color. I'd be interested in any internal differences,if any.

Some might consider it tacky, but I would be interested in the price??

Re: Metanium Mg7 V2 [Limited Edition]
I'm guessing that Shimano is just trying to test how far people are willing to go to have something uniqe. They figure if Daiwa can take a basic reel in a popular line up, change the color, maybe add some cork knobs, carbon fiber handles, add the "Limited" factor and charge a grand for it, why can't they do the same right?

All the stats ive found so far are the same as Version 1 except for cork and color...
Re: Metanium Mg7 V2 [Limited Edition]
Limited/Special Editions from Shimano tend to be exceedingly rare... I wonder how much influence Jackall has to do with this.
Sure looks nice, tho... Maybe dye the cork knobs black then clear-coat?

Damn I want one.
A google search gives limited results. One is a russian site (something like bestjapan.ru).
They have the reel at 29,500 JPY, which is something like $370.
Anyone know where they are selling this reel?
