Jackall Poison Glorious

Post by arbogastjunkie » Fri Jul 22, 2011 11:41 am

Has anyone tried any of the Jackall Posion Glorious rods? If so, what are your thoughts on performance, actions / power versus decriptions, build quality, etc.

Just noticed that the two rods I am interested in are two piece. :-k

I've got the Rushburn and the Deep Salvage, for my two favorite fishing methods (jig+pig and deep diving crankbaits).
I'll be honest, I hate the grip. Especially the slippery metal foregrip thingy. It is ugly!
And the split grip shape feels very awkward.
But the blanks are very nice. Light weight yet seems very strong and crisp.
I ended up switching out the foregrip with another Shimano Japan rod I had (Amenista) and plan to modify the grip into a full length cork grip.
When it's done, it should look just like a Shimano Final Dimension Unlimited rod.

There's a short video of breaking test for the Poison rod from Plat's. Looks pretty impressive and can take alot of punishment. Video is right of the bottom of the page on this link:http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/prod ... aster.html

This is not a two piece rod. [-X
The entire blank is one piece.
Most 7+ foot JDM rods are like this. The smaller rods are also like this but are glued.
You will not notice this when fishing but is very nice when you need to store or ship the rods. \:D/

Thanks Carlos. I didn't know that about JDM rods.

yeah, the blanks are one piece. I want a glorious but cant afford it since I'm stuck with med bills because of my tumor. I have 4 poison heritages, all of which I love.

I plan on getting a rushburn glorious by then end of the year though
