Re: Auction site gems
Not from an auction site, but it's a gem.
Just picked up a brand new Zillion type R. Price wasn't a steal but for me, it's worth it considering this is one of the few reels that I don't feel the need to change or upgrade anything.
Looks like I got the last one as they're showing out of stock now.

For other old zillion lover, they also have a new Daiwa Zillion 100SHA as $271.99 which is almost same price as TW's SV103.

They pulled a 'bait n switch' on me with that type R, they didn't actually have it in stock. Told me the 100sha was in stock if I wanted to buy that instead.alafly wrote:For other old zillion lover, they also have a new Daiwa Zillion 100SHA as $271.99 which is almost same price as TW's SV103.

Re: Auction site gems
They make me question if that 100sha is really brand new or not.

Yeah, good chance it's a demo reel or something. And with it being on sale, probably can't return it. No worries, there's other zillions in the sea. $270 will buy you a nice used or new zillion of almost any variety.they make me question if that 100sha is really brand new or not.

Re: Auction site gems
Just scored this Zara spook I've never seen before.
Old made in USA packaging, Holographic body, double seam, with bright orange eyes (looking up?!), no orange belly.

I went on a jdm lure spending spree last night & this old $5 eBay lure has me more pumped than any of it

She has been there for a while...
If you really want it, you might be able to negotiate some discount... that seller is nice.

Re: Auction site gems
Looks like a 50th Anniversary Zillion, but the handle is different. Has anyone heard or seen this model, the Tsunekichi Edition?

Re: Auction site gems
Tsunekichi is a jdm lure company. Looks like the 7.3 limited jdm zillion with an HLC handle. I never liked that chrome/aluminum strip across the thumbrest on those, but no doubt it's a good model zillion. I've always considered them the jdm version of the type R.Cyacnba wrote:Looks like a 50th Anniversary Zillion, but the handle is different. That's pretty cool that there were only 7 of them made. Good find!
