SS SV internals

Post by smalliesteve » Wed May 07, 2014 11:33 am

Anyone have pics of an SS SV internals? I'm curious if they stuck with the old all metal style ala Steez/TDZ/Sol or have the new lots of plastic like a T3 or Tatula.

not bad....the drag washer is kind of weird.

I'm thinking a set of Brass gears from the steez would fit.

Well Maverick, I don't know if I should thank you or not. I was kinda hoping they used the T3 style internals so I wouldn't want to buy one. :lol: :lol:

Thanks, that was perfect. Now all we need to find out is if it uses different frames for each ratio like the Steez. I'm digging the 5.3. With the SV spool should be a great reel for light cranks.

Did you remove grease from gears?
The reel gears look almost completely out of it...

Thanks =D>
Looks much like the Steez internals,good news.
That drag star does look suspiciously like the plastic T3 star.A cheap Zaion upgrade would transform this reel into something special.

The dragstar is not plastic. It's made of Zaion compound.

The T3 drag star is plastic for sure(done the snap test :lol: )
I know the SS SV star has been listed as being made of Zaion,I still have my doubts.
Does it matter,not at all 8-)
The 'raw' Zaion drag star just looks so cool.
