Its got to be 100mm. My Steez EX 7.9 came out with a 100mm handle.

$265 shipped from digitaka, assuming the yen holds. Can't wait until they're in stock.

NEW VIDEO up of the JDM Zillion-TWS....doesn't tell us much more then what has been posted.
Still wanna know what difference is b/w the USDM spool and the JDM Spool.
Magseal and Spool and Aluminum Looking Drag Star seem to be the differences and the difference in trim color on the 9.1

Re: New Zillion XXH (9.1:1)
Hi all,
Has been a while since the reel got released.
I am wondering if anybody can post a review/summary of the reel. Personally I am considering the reel as my frogging/flipping reel with heavy braid (50-65#).
I would be particularly interested in:
* Sturdiness of reel
* Casting ability with heavy braid
* flipping with heavy braid (how is the line going through the reel line whole)
* torque (I had the Revo Rocket and I was underwhelmed by its torque and ability to fight bigger fish)
* long term review
Thanks all.
Cheers,
Seb.

Re: New Zillion XXH (9.1:1)
I own one, it is the purple US domestic version though. I use mine with 17lb fluoro, one of my tournament fishing partners uses his with 50lb Fitzgerald braid. I use my Zillion TWS 9.1 on a 7'6" MH Villain 2.0 Abu rod. I really like the reel. For 3/8oz and above it will bomb any lure and also have great control. These reels can skip and accurately cast without backlash too, just cause the new SV reels are amazing doesn't mean that these still don't have the ability. People forget you can just simply turn the brakes higher in these situations. Before the 7'6" MH rod, I used the 9.1 on a 7'M rod with 12lb fluoro for lighter lures. It still cast them fine, I think the spool weighs about 16 grams which isn't terrible, not great (the new SV is like 11 grams). The reel is extremely sturdy, just as the original Tatula it is based off of. This Zillion has a Zaion sideplate rather than aluminum, but I cannot tell a rigidity decrease. When casting with heavy braid, as I mentioned before as long as the rod matches the lure and it isn't extremely light, you will be golden. The big, wide spools of these reels really help with long casting and heavier lines. Leader knots do not pass well at all through the TWS, though I never have this issue, I don't use but about a 4-6ft leader. I have seen up to 65lb cast great on these TWS reels, and I am sure 80+ would be fine. The flipping is great, that is actually the primary feature of the 9.1 I mentioned on the 7'6"MH Villain 2.0. It casts well, not SV Zillion well, but with regular size lures it is an amazing reel. Torque is going to be lacking a bit. If I could do it over I would have a 7 speed for my particular fishing style. The 9.1 is handy though when I am in a hurry or tournament, it still has plenty of torque for most situations. This reel's speed has also landed me a few big fish when a slow reel would have missed the hookset. Compared to the Revo Rocket, this reel will have better torque. The Zillion has a dual supported pinion, much similar to Shimano's X-Ship. I always thought Abu had this system because their spools have a short shaft, but I recently found out Abu's version is not bearing supported, just built similar but with frame/bushing support where the Daiwa has a bearing. The 100mm handle helps a lot, unless you are using massive lures with high resistance torque shouldn't be an issue, I do prefer personally to keep lures at or under 1/2oz, I don't like the feel of a 1oz Carolina rig (but some do, I just drag them slow).freelancer27 wrote:Hi all,

Last of all, my long term review: I have had a 7.3 and 9.1 Zillion TWS for almost 3 years now, neither have had a single issue, not one. They are robust, strong, sturdy reels. I fish them a good bit, only own about 8 baitcasters and these 2 get pretty good use (about 2-3 times a week). I have purchased the Hedgehog bearing remover to clean spool bearings, oil/grease the levelwind, routine cleaning, main gear/pinion greasing, etc. These are absolute bulletproof reels for me. My friend that tournament fishes owns the 9.1, a 5.5, and a 6.3; he hasn't reported any issues either, but owns 20+ reels so doesn't use them quite as specifically as I do.
