2015 Abu Revo Elite Aurora 64 Limited

Post by Bootytrain » Mon Mar 23, 2015 2:45 am

I missed out on the first edition, I wont be missing out on this one, which I think is better looking.
Looks like its going to have a full aluminum frame and both side plates, some upgraded bearings, ZPI BFC knobs, mag brakes. and maybe an even lighter spool than the standard Elite, which had a 10 gram spool already.

Its all aluminum, but I'm not sure if the ti coating is saltwater safe. Purefishings website says both fresh and saltwater.

Interesting... Ti is normally corrosion resistant in saltwater as long as operator takes care to rinse the reel after each outing. I might consider trying an Abu this time, reel looks really nice!

MSPR is 44,800 yen. So street price is probably going to be $300ish

I definitely like it, but I do like and use Abu stuff at times...been beating on on MGX for a couple of years with no problems. Think I might have to pick one of these up, and perhaps an LTZ racing as well...anyone have a link where these are available? Abu...not quite Daiwa, but better than Shimano lmao~

Looks nice, but I am waiting for a new Akatsuki, if they ever make it.

Has anyone seen one of these for sale yet? I have been checking regularly and some sites show them as being sold out but have they even been officially released?

I've been checking too. I think the sold out ones are the previous model.
