Saltwater Steez?

Post by joeyblackwood » Tue Mar 31, 2015 3:27 pm

Is the inshore quantum smoke the closest thing we will see to a sub six ounce saltwater safe reel? Why isn't there a salt safe steez?

The new Alphas SV is probably as close as you are going to get unless Daiwa decides to come out with a Steez Inshore model made entirely of Zaion.

I have been using the Shimano Core 50mg7 and Aldebaran MG7 for saltwater fishing for years without a single corrosion issue. Just rinse after a trip and you're good. I also plan to use the Aldebaran 50HG for saltwater fishing as well in 2 weeks. Those two reels are your best bet for saltwater safe sub-6 oz baitcasters.
