JDM Chatterbait

Post by Jdmbassman » Tue Sep 01, 2015 12:42 pm

Hi all,

The Deps and Evergreen Jigs are awesome, the DEPS MATSUBUZZ looks good (some are in the post) too so I'm wondering if there are any better JDM Chatterbaits than ZMan Elite Chatterbaits ?

Best wishes

Matthew

The Megabass Wildheaders are sweet and worth looking into if you haven't already.

I have very good luck with Imakatsu and they are available in a few sizes 70,90,120 with basic, fast, slow, and floating sink rates. I have 9 in use and a few backups.

For traditional chatter i prefer the Fish Arrow DK and KO (finesse) chatters over the Wild headers. I have been using them over 4 years so maybe it is just more time on water and confidence.

With the Fish Arrow Chatters, any preference with the weed less over the standard ones ?

I don't get hung up often and the regular is still very weedless already so i prefer that. It also keeps the profile down with a smaller trailer or no trailer at all. The weedless requires a bigger trailer because you pretty much Texas rig a trailer for the free swinging weedless hook.

Jackall Break Blade is pretty sweet. Owner cutting point hook and dual titanium weedguard that works well. Colors are very nice looking. D&M are some of the best on the market but aren't JDM.

I've actually never used a Z-Man chatterbait before.

Use Imakatsu and Megabass (haven't caught a fish yet), also recently bought a Deps 3/8 Oz
Have a Z-Man, but it came with a dull hook in the beginning, and I don't have a confidence to throw it, since I have so many JDM's haven't seen water yet :)
I heard O.S.P. chatterbaits are awesome.
How good the chatterbaits for saltwater fish like trout, reds, snook?
