Megabass Jabberwock variant?
Hello all, earlier today I was going through all my rods and had them all out at the same time and I noticed between two of my jabberwocks that the reel seats were different. One has the glossy black and grey marbled one that also says Megabass Factory Evolution in cursive gold letters. The other just has a plain matte black or very dark brown( can't really tell). Also the one with the marbled seat has the words Titanium Armed Guide halfway between the first and second guides. The other rod does not have these words. I did not know if there were some variants out there. My Diablo also has the marbled version so I'm assuming the plain one with the black/brown seat is the odd one. Do any of you guys have one of these varieties? Everything else on the rod is the same as far as I can see comparing them side by side.

I have three of the Jabberwock Evo SB rods. All with the marbled reel seat.
Are both of yours slant bridge rods?

Yes they are both slant bridge and identical in every way except for the two details mentioned.

Well, i guess it will continue to be a mystery for now. The more i think about it the more i like the fact that they have this variation between them.

Perhaps the non-marbled seat rod was built on a Friday afternoon, after a sake infused lunch, and the guy just wanted to go home. He therefore reached for the reel seat closest to him.

My SB Jabberwock has the Matt black reel seat and my SB Jota has the marbled reel seat. Super Griffon is Matt and Flat Backer is marbled.

Interesting, so there are more than 1. Wonder when these were made, begining or tail end of the run? Is your Sb jabberwock also lacking the words titanium armed guide between the first and second guides?aussiebasser wrote:My SB Jabberwock has the Matt black reel seat and my SB Jota has the marbled reel seat.
