Re: 2016 New Steez?
That is a good looking reel I'll have to wait for one of the limited models

Waiting for a Ito version.........

Going to be similar to the whole OG vs Tatula width comparison and debate. Probably the same or similar of measuring the width. Palming will feel different because of profile of the body. With a TWS the max width is near the nose vs a typical reel where max width is center of body. Profile plays a big role in how a reel palms.Pen3 wrote:Judging by all the pictures so far i could say that the overall size is about the same as old Steez, but with the front about 1/4" wider and longer at most.

It is different for sure, but nothing intrusive or much change unless you got lady like hands.Bass1980 wrote:Going to be similar to the whole OG vs Tatula width comparison and debate. Lady-like hands I have, but do not mind cupping bigger objectsPen3 wrote:It is different for sure, but nothing intrusive or much change unless you got lady like hands.Bass1980 wrote:Going to be similar to the whole OG vs Tatula width comparison and debate. Maybe Daiwa will eventually offer the Steez TW with a 8.0 or higher gear ratio and it will have a longer handle.Chode wrote:Y 80mm handle. 90 wouldve been awesome.

what confuses me is that the steez sv comes with the 90mm handle so y goto the 80mm now?joekaz wrote:Maybe Daiwa will eventually offer the Steez TW with a 8.0 or higher gear ratio and it will have a longer handle.Chode wrote:Y 80mm handle. 90 wouldve been awesome.

Re: 2016 New Steez?
JDM vs US market. The current Steez SV is US market only. The old Steez SV was JDM market only with the shorter handle. This new SV TWS Steez is dual market, which generally means shorter 80mm handles as most JDM reels have.Chode wrote:what confuses me is that the steez sv comes with the 90mm handle so y goto the 80mm now?joekaz wrote:Maybe Daiwa will eventually offer the Steez TW with a 8.0 or higher gear ratio and it will have a longer handle.Chode wrote:Y 80mm handle. 90 wouldve been awesome.

Went to the Chicagoland Fishing Expo yesterday. Daiwa had a nice setup but neither the Zillion TW SV nor the Steez TW SV was there. I was looking forward to getting some hands on experience. Maybe they will be at the Madison show at the end of Feb.

If you were still in the USMC you would probably be station in Japan and could just go to OsakaDirtydeucegooseUSMC wrote:Went to the Chicagoland Fishing Expo yesterday. That's just the thing! I am still in! I missed two deployments to Okinawa. One for Afghanistan and one for Recruiting duty. Starting to think I got shafted!!Pen3 wrote:If you were still in the USMC you would probably be station in Japan and could just go to OsakaDirtydeucegooseUSMC wrote:Went to the Chicagoland Fishing Expo yesterday. Re: 2016 New Steez?
Do you guys think there will be a 8.1 or 9.1 gear ratio later this year like they did with the Zillion TW(s)?
