What's your favorite Liberto PIXY (w/poll)
What's the everyone's favorite model in 2016? My vote goes to the Airy Red.
Edit: upgrading is allowed because you can't really compare a stock Pixy from 2004 to something like the Type R.

In stock form, I like the PX type R because it's basically a pixilla. The airy red and yellow are cool if pixilla'd just for cool factor.

Upgrades are allowed, otherwise Type R, PX68 and the SPR are too superior to the older stock Pixy's with their crappy drag etc.masterbass wrote:In stock form, I like the PX type R because it's basically a pixilla. The airy red and yellow are cool if pixilla'd just for cool factor.

What's wrong with the drag if the reel is used for it's intended purpose?silversix wrote:Upgrades are allowed, otherwise Type R, PX68 and the SPR are too superior to the older stock Pixy's with their crappy drag etc.masterbass wrote:In stock form, I like the PX type R because it's basically a pixilla. Orange pixy side plates on a yellow pixy body.
Re: What's your favorite Liberto PIXY (w/poll)
Love my Airy Red and PX Type R. Wish I had a Yellow in near mint.

That Airy red is very nice.

It stutters even with small trout. Unless its completely turned off, it skips and stutters. Really annoying.John G wrote:What's wrong with the drag if the reel is used for it's intended purpose?silversix wrote:Upgrades are allowed, otherwise Type R, PX68 and the SPR are too superior to the older stock Pixy's with their crappy drag etc.masterbass wrote:In stock form, I like the PX type R because it's basically a pixilla. same with airy red side plates on the yellow's body. looks so much better. wish there was a way to buy the yellow's body without buying the whole reel.BARRAMANIAC wrote:Orange pixy side plates on a yellow pixy body.

Surprised there is no vote for the SPR. I have owned everything from there and the SPR cast the best as well as being the smoothest. As far as i could tell, it is the only old gen Daiwa reel that feels as good as the Steez gear wise. I will give the SPR the first vote then.

I'll vote SPR, but am a novice when it comes to PXs. The only other one I own is the Type R. Love casting light crankbaits with my SPR.Pen3 wrote:Surprised there is no vote for the SPR. I'm sure things would be different if you have one in hand.Almost pulled the trigger multiple times myself.
